The Question

I came across this musing I wrote thirty years ago…

I simply remain in the question for this is the practice. If it is the right question, the answer is spontaneously clear. If not, I ask again until I get it. Pure inquiry—inquiring with pure perception. I ask for everything and expect nothing. Even though I may give it voice, no words can truly articulate the asking. Better I should babble incoherently as it is much more precise. Listening to the random babblings of a brook as it begins its descent to the sea, I smile to observe how skillfully it follows the middle way.

Much Love,

"Generosity brings happiness at every stage of its expression.

We experience joy in forming the intention to be generous.

We experience joy in the actual act of giving something.

And we experience joy in remembering the fact that we have given."
