Electing Samsara—Again

I find it interesting how so many folks are liking the fact that we have a president and his close supporters, all wealthy white men, who have no social skills and seem to be emissaries of big ego. What message are we sending to young people? Is this really the way to be leaders in this part of the world? Perhaps, but I choose to think we are better than this. Maybe it will run its course as a lesson about samsara (repetition of cycles that create suffering) and finally surrender to the more kind and compassionate side of human nature.

Padmasambhava said during this time sane people would be seen as insane and truly insane people would be in charge. How did he know? I suppose we do need role models for how not to do things (he says with a snicker).

May we all wake up from the oblivion of our social-media induced stupor and give birth to the freedom of our compassionate hearts. May we also be mindful of the needs of those who are negatively impacted by this temporary insanity.

Much Love,

🙏🏼🌎❤️Michael

"Generosity brings happiness at every stage of its expression.

We experience joy in forming the intention to be generous.

We experience joy in the actual act of giving something.

And we experience joy in remembering the fact that we have given."
