Summer Solstice Prayer

The three realms of samsara (cyclic existence) are: Desire Realm (beings ensnared by emotions), Form Realm (beings have gained meditative wisdom but still have a body), and Formless Realm (beings no longer have bodies but are energetically bound to samsara). Delusion can arise anywhere!

So, at certain times of the year we chant the Kuntuzangpo prayer—to help all beings become free. Here is a short excerpt from the concluding lines:

At the times of solar or lunar eclipses, during earthquakes or when the sky thunders, at the solstices or the new year, visualize yourself as Kuntuzangpo and recite this prayer so that all can hear it. Thus all beings of the three realms will gradually free themselves from suffering and will finally attain buddhahood.

Much Love,

We experience joy in forming the intention to be generous.

We experience joy in the actual act of giving something.

And we experience joy in remembering the fact that we have given."
