Happy Losar!

The Tibetan lunar calendar marks the New Year on February 18. According to the Tibetan astrological system, this year will be the year of the Fire Horse, a very auspicious sign to fearlessly move forward with beneficial activities.

The elemental sign fire is said to represent warmth, clarity, and energy. Symbolically, it points to the dispelling of ignorance’s darkness from our mind with the blazing flames of joyful enthusiasm in whatever activities we undertake. The animal sign horse is associated with swiftness, autonomy, and power of the heart. The union of the two is like adding fire’s potency to the speed of an excellent horse – an auspicious powerful connection through which all activities can be accomplished.

The two week period following Losar energetically multiplies all our thoughts and actions by 100,000. May we join together our positive aspirations so that we can accomplish compassionate action for the benefit of all beings.

Happy New Year!

Much Love,

🙏🏼🌎❤️Michael

Manjushri Mantra Accumulations

We have the opportunity to join our voices and intentions together through chanting the Manjushri mantra for the benefit of all beings:

OM AH RA PA TSA NA DHI

Manjushri’s sword of wisdom cuts all the sprouts of suffering. May we visualize this and heal the wounds of the planet and all lifeforms inhabiting it. We have the goal of 500,000 repetitions though our combined voices.

Remember to report your accumulations at the Dharma Center or via email through our website:

We experience joy in forming the intention to be generous.

We experience joy in the actual act of giving something.

And we experience joy in remembering the fact that we have given."
