“Not all those who wander are lost.” This phrase from Tolkein’s poem, The Riddle of Strider, is a very good summation of the spiritual path. One translation of samsara is “wandering”. We experience life as suffering when we feel lost in our wandering. When we discover and practice the Dharma, we recognize a home base. We may continue to wander, but we are no longer lost. How wonderful!
Homework: Read poem, “I Wander Lonely As a Cloud”, by William Wordsworth.

Much love,
