Sanibel Recreation Presents Summer Camp 2025 For Grades K-8
The Sanibel Recreation Center will offer 8 individual weeks of Summer Day Camp starting June 9th and concluding on August 1st. Summer camp will be packed with fun challenges, island exploration and classic camp excitement you've come to know and love here at Rec!
This year's theme is "Expedition Survivor". Campers entering grades K-8 will experience a variety of field trips, nature-based activities, and creative adventures designed to keep them active, engaged and smiling all summer long.
Cost per week is $135 per child with Recreation Center membership; $170 per child without membership.
Camp highlights, depending on grade level, may include kayaking, paddleboarding, local nature excursions, animal encounters, inflatables, sea life investigations, and golf. Weekly field trips, both on and off island, with field trip admissions are included. Optional spending money will be at parents’ discretion.
Daily swimming, outdoor play, and special guests like park rangers and island educators round out the experience. Campers will receive a complimentary Expedition Survivor T-shirt to wear on major trip days.
Lee County Schools Summer Feeding Program will provide campers with a complimentary light breakfast and a basic lunch package, daily. Campers should still pack extra snacks and water daily.
Parents of 5-year-olds are reminded to send labeled booster seats on all travel days. Campers should be able to independently use the restroom facilities. All campers should come prepared daily with a swimsuit, sunscreen, snacks, and refillable water bottle. Basic sunscreen is available, but families may send their own preferred brand.
Camp runs Monday through Friday 8am- 5:30pm and space is limited by age group. For registration and full details, click HERE or call (239) 472-0345.
