SAUSD CELEBRATES SCHOOL EMPLOYEE GROUPS IN MAY 2022
The month of May is designated as the recognition month for several school employee groups. These include principals, teachers, classified employees, school police, school nurses, school nutrition workers, and other school support staff. SAUSD thanks all our different school employee groups for everything they do to keep our schools open, to support learning, and to help meet the diverse needs of our SAUSD community.

BOARD OF EDUCATION TO MEET MAY 10, 2022

SAUSD HOLDS 2022 RETIREMENT/LONGEVITY CELEBRATION
SAUSD recently held a drive-through Retirement/Longevity Celebration at Godinez Fundamental High School to recognize employees who have dedicated many years of service to our students, families and school communities. 9 SAUSD SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS RECOGNIZED AT 12TH ANNUAL DIFFERENCE MAKERS CELEBRATION
Congratulations to the SAUSD scholarship recipients who were recently recognized at the 12th Annual Difference Makers celebration, held by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce. The annual event honors local business leaders and outstanding graduating students who impact the community in extraordinary ways. Scholars will receive $1,000 scholarships for their hard work and dedication. Click here to view a list of honorees.

SAUSD TO LAUNCH COMPREHENSIVE SUMMER PROGRAM FOR 2022
SAUSD will launch a comprehensive Summer Program that will include enrichment, personalized learning camps, academic support, visual and performing arts, and other programs and services for students in all grade levels. Click here to view a preliminary schedule.

SADDLEBACK REACHES CIF CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY
Saddleback High School’s boys volleyball team, top seeded in Division 6, earned a trip to the CIF finals for the first time in school history with a three-set victory over Le Lycee of Los Angeles Saturday night in the semifinals at Saddleback. Read this OC Sports Zone story for more details.
SEGERSTROM HIGH SCHOOL EARNS TOP HONORS IN STATEWIDE ‘RACE TO SUBMIT’
The California Student Aid Commission recently recognized Segerstrom High School for being one the top three schools in the state for student financial aid application, or FAFSA, completion rates. Segerstrom had 88 percent of all seniors complete a financial aid application last year. By applying for financial aid, college bound seniors made sure they took advantage of all state and federal grants and awards available to them. More: studentaid.gov.
