We are proud to recognize Chief Studley for successfully completing the FBI National Academy, one of the most respected and challenging professional development programs in law enforcement.

Held in Quantico, Virginia, the FBI National Academy brings together law enforcement leaders from across the United States and around the world for an intensive 10-week program focused on leadership, communication, fitness, and advanced policing strategies. Graduates return to their agencies equipped with valuable knowledge, strengthened leadership skills, and a network of professional contacts that enhance public safety efforts.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, Chief Studley earned the Yellow Brick Award, a distinction presented to academy participants who demonstrate exceptional dedication and perseverance in completing the academy’s rigorous physical fitness challenges. The award symbolizes determination, resilience, and commitment to personal and professional excellence.

Chief Studley’s accomplishments reflect not only individual hard work and discipline but also the values of service, leadership, and continuous improvement that define our department. We are honored to welcome Chief Studley back and look forward to the positive impact this experience will have on our agency and the community we serve.

The First Annual SCIPD Youth Academy took place last month and was a tremendous success. Designed for 4th and 5th grade students, the Youth Academy provided a fun, hands-on opportunity for participants to learn about leadership, teamwork, safety, and community service while interacting with Santa Clara-Ivins police officers, firefighters, the crossing guard supervisor, and other community partners.

Throughout the week, students explored police vehicles and SWAT equipment, met our K-9 team, learned about investigations and forensics, participated in team-building activities, discussed safety and good decision-making, and much more. The academy offered students a unique behind-the-scenes look at public safety while fostering positive relationships with first responders and community leaders.

The idea for the Youth Academy originated with School Resource Officer Jon Ward. Through the dedication and hard work of supervisors, coworkers, and staff members, the camp became a highly successful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. The academy was also made possible through the generous support and donations of several local businesses, whose contributions helped create an engaging and memorable week for all participants.

We look forward to building on this success and offering the SCIPD Youth Academy again in the future.
