Dear Harbor Community:

In light of recent recommendations from federal, state and local government agencies, and to limit transmission of COVID-19 to the extent possible, the Port District is taking unprecedented steps to protect its workforce and the public. 
 
SANTA CRUZ PORT DISTRICT
COVID-19 RESPONSE MEASURES
EFFECTIVE March 17, 2020 to March 31, 2020
 
To limit public interaction to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Port District will implement the following temporary measures:
  • Closure of the harbor office customer service counter
  • Closure of the Santa Cruz Harbor Boatyard customer service counter
  • Closure of the concession parking lot kiosk
  • Cancel the regularly scheduled Port Commission meeting of March 24, 2020
  • Implement other measures to protect employees and the public
Essential harbor services will continue to be provided, including:
  • Law enforcement, marine search and rescue and security services and monitoring VHF channels 9 and 16
  • Dredging operations
  • Fuel service on call basis (VHF channel 9)
  • Emergency response (such as hazmat, emergency vessel haul-out at boatyard, etc.)
  • Essential administrative / finance work
  • Bill pay available online https://www.santacruzharbor.org/bill-pay/
  • Maintenance and servicing of public and boater restrooms
  • Garbage transport and collection services

Please note that effective at 12:01 AM on March 17th, the County of Santa Cruz put in place a Public Health Order that requires county residents to shelter-in-place and limit public activities for anything but essential travel through April 7th.
