Initial Stages of a Market Shift
We may be at the beginning of a market shift. Realtor.com’s Chief Economist Danielle Hale  reports  that Pending home sales remained lower than one year ago for the sixth consecutive month in spite of inventory beginning to become more available. Six months of declining pending home sales year over year suggests we are experiencing market movements that cannot be explained away by seasonal variation. Read more using the button below.
Trump Tax Tariffs and Homes Prices
Trump’s tax tariffs on lumber, steel and aluminum may increase the cost of new housing. The Department of Commerce imposed a 20.83% tariff on shipments of softwood lumber from Canada. Additionally, tariffs have also been imposed on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and the European Union. Read how this may impact housing prices in this article.
