COORDINATOR'S CORNER
Happy New Year!  Having bid a fond farewell to 2018 and given thanks for the many new friends, new experiences, lessons learned and blessings it brought me, I am looking ahead to the mystery and potential that a new year brings. When we close the calendar on the old year we can also close the book on old habits and old ways of thinking that we don’t wish to take with us on our journey into the year ahead. And we can decide what we do want to take with us and what we want to bring more of into our lives as we open a beautiful new calendar to begin 2019.

This is the time of year to go within and see what is calling to us. What are the subtle messages and nudges that we hear that we may have been ignoring? What qualities, experiences, growth, or feelings do we want to bring into our lives in the coming year? Is there a dream that just won’t let go, even though we tell ourselves it’s not possible or not practical or we don’t have time right now? Now is the time to begin honoring yourself and to say “Yes!” to yourself and to your dreams!

This year, rather than making New Year’s resolutions, I am creating what I call an “Inspiration List,” a list of those qualities I want to bring more and more into my life as the year progresses – qualities such as inner peace, compassion, radiant well-being, gratitude, self-care, and so many others. As I begin each day, I can choose one of these inspirations from my list and carry it with me through the day, finding ways to express it in my life. This is one simple way I have chosen to honor myself and what is calling me to bring to life in the coming year, and I encourage you to find your own way to listen to your heart and to step into the positive possibilities and gifts that the New Year brings.

Please join me and the amazing women of the Santa Fe Chapter of TTN for our inspiring programs and lively events as we share the gift of a new year together. Wishing you all a happy, healthy, abundant and peaceful 2019!
—Ellen Wetzel

WOMEN IN TRANSITION WORKSHOP
(W.I.T.) IS OFFERED THIS WINTER!
Saturday, February 23 – 12:30-5:00 PM
Montezuma Lodge, 431 Paseo de Peralta
D o you recall the moment when you first heard about The Transition Network? Somewhere in that moment, you recognized —if you hadn’t already—that you were in a transition of some sort yourself and that there were other women out there who were just like you. And you wanted to know how they were handling things.

To help meet that need, The Transition Network developed a signature program, Women in Transition— a half-day program for the woman in the process of exploring what’s next for her.

The general premise of the workshop is the work of the late consultant William E. Bridges. In his 1980 book, Transitions: Making Sense of Life’s Changes, Bridges introduced a new way of thinking about change and transition. We will explore that and the three phases of transition.

Here are some comments from prior workshop attendees:
  •  “It was the most fun, useful event I’ve been to at TTN.”
  •  “Program had emotional and intellectual depth.”
  •  “Loved the action steps, applicable exercises, much value in short workshop.”
  •  “It’s a great workshop to learn about yourself, to meet interesting women and to connect.”

The workshop is open to TTN members ($25)
and non-members ($35).
