GIRLS INC: INSPIRING GIRLS TO BE
STRONG, SMART AND BOLD!
Online via Zoom (see link below)
Learn about the amazing work of Girls, Inc., our summer local non-profit beneficiary of our Santa Fe TTN Community Outreach Program, and how we can support them.

Girls Inc. of Santa Fe focuses on the development of the whole girl, supporting, mentoring, and guiding girls in an affirming, pro-girl environment. They learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate the challenges they face.

Girls Inc. girls live healthy and active lifestyles and are less likely to engage in risky behavior; they are eager to learn, successful in school, and more likely to graduate from post-secondary education; and they display diligence, perseverance and resilience.

For more info visit girlsincofsantafe.org.

Guest speakers: CEO, Kim Brown; Director of Programs, Madonna Hernandez; and Chief of Philanthropy Officer, Ginger Williams.

Open to TTN members and non-members. Invite a friend!

CHAPTER NEWS
GOOD NEIGHBORS PROGRAM
LAUNCHING SUMMER 2021
The Transition Network strives to provide women a sense of community and connection throughout the country. The Santa Fe Chapter is expanding this goodwill with its newest program, Good Neighbors(GN). Loosely modeled after TTN’s national program, Caring Collaborative, GN seeks to provide compassion, care, and ‘neighborly’ support for each other, when needed.

In need of a ride to the doctor? Help hanging art? Or just simply a welcoming ear? Good Neighbors is a confidential community that connects those needing a little help with those ready to provide it.

Launching this summer, our first orientation will be held in June. Please keep your eyes peeled for more information in your physical and email boxes.

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Would you like to get to know the TTN members better? TTN is going to offer a special virtual event, Getting to Know You. Since we still can’t meet in person, we are going to hold a get to know each other better on a personal level virtually.

The idea is after a brief intro, we will breakout into groups of 3. The 3 women can talk about whatever they want, no agenda, just getting to know each other. We will plan to carry this out in person when we can. What do you say? Are you in?”

The first "Getting to Know You" will be on May 27th at 5:30pm. See the link and more details under the Virtual Events section.
NEW MEMBER GATHERING RECAP
The Santa Fe Chapter had its New Member Gathering in March. All new members who joined TTN in 2020 and the first part of 2021 were invited. We had a very good turnout, and it was great meeting some of our new members. We look forward to getting to know them better during the upcoming year. Another New Member Gathering will take place in several months. We’re hoping the next one will be in person.
IT'S EASY TO JOIN TTN!
Go to www.TheTransitionNetwork.org/join and follow the instructions. We’d love to have you become a member of the Santa Fe Chapter!
