Santa Fe Chapter | Newsletter | May 2018
Santa Fe TTN is organized and led entirely by volunteers.
COORDINATOR'S CORNER
I am honored to serve in the role of Coordinator of the Santa Fe Chapter of The Transition Network starting this month. As I take on this new role, I want to recognize and deeply appreciate Nathalie Herrman for all the great ideas, hard work, and abundant positive energy she brought to our chapter during her time here. She will be missed!

Having moved to Santa Fe six months ago, I am so thankful to have found the wonderfully supportive, diversely interesting, accepting and powerful group of women that makes up the Santa Fe Chapter of TTN. It has made all the difference in helping me to find my way in this new place and new phase of my life.

I look forward to getting to know you all and working together to CONNECT with each other, to DISCOVER more about ourselves and the world we live in, and to make an IMPACT on many levels—in our lives, our communities, and the world at large. I welcome your input and suggestions and encourage you to attend our monthly program and events, to become involved, invite your friends, and enjoy all that TTN Santa Fe has to offer.

We are so fortunate to live in this beautiful place and to be part of such an amazing group of women!
—Ellen Wetzel
A BIG THANKS TO NATHALIE!
Thanks, Nathalie, for your service as Chapter Coordinator and for bringing your energy, passion, enthusiasm and joy to the Santa Fe TTN Chapter.

You are an inspiration and your love for TTN and the women was so evident.

You were committed to make the most of your time with us and you really had an impact.

Your dedication to the mission, your optimism and finding women to serve as volunteers were highlights.

Best of luck in your new adventures in Virginia.

With appreciation,
The TTN Steering Committee
and members of the chapter

MONTHLY MEETING
Monday, May 21, 2018
(3rd Monday this month!)
5:45-7:30 pm
Program: YOUR TRUE VOICE
How to Express Who You Are
You’re capable, you’re smart, but do you feel self-conscious speaking up and expressing your ideas? Do you feel like you’re withholding some part of yourself? Maybe you’re thinking, “I have nothing to add, I don’t know what to say, I’ll draw a blank…”

There is a part of you that wants to live larger, that wants to be more visible and be heard. What can you do when fear and anxiety get in the way?

There are simple techniques you can easily learn to help with fear, nervousness and jitters around self-expression. In our May program, Maria Cruz will introduce a “mind-body” toolkit that can be used in any situation.

You’ll leave with tools and techniques to keep you centered, calm and courageous. You’ll learn how to prepare physically and mentally before any conversation and how to remain relaxed and focused during your conversation. You’ll feel ready to own your true voice and express who you are.
Maria Cruz is a certified speaker coach for TEDX in Albuquerque, as well as being a vocalist and professional speaker herself. She is on a mission to help others unleash and explore their full potential and power through self-expression. She has enjoyed a performance career as a jazz vocalist, actor and voice-over artist and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. She is the founder of Big Heart on Fire. www.bigheartonfire.com

CHAPTER NEWS
We are thrilled to introduce you to the amazing and generous women on our New Steering Committee!

TTN is an all-volunteer organization, and we are most grateful to the Steering Committee for their service!

And if you are interested in stepping up, we are actively looking for three additional volunteers:

  1. Someone to make monthly phone calls to follow-up with our guests
  2. Someone to assist with communications including uploading data to our TTN website (easy—no need to be a techie, just comfortable around a computer) and to maintain our Facebook page.
  3. Someone to head a PR campaign
