TODAY'S STATUS
The county red tide update e-newsletter publishes weekly on Wednesdays.

Total red tide debris collected since Aug. 1: more than 255 tons


Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources (PRNR) staff continue to monitor beaches each day and will evaluate, in accordance with beach cleanup policy .

Today's update:
  • Beaches: All clear.
  • Boat Ramps: All clear.

HOW TO REPORT RED TIDE IMPACTS
For manatees, dolphins, whales and marine turtles, call the FWC Hotline at 1-888-404-3922. Be prepared to describe the location of the animal and take a picture, if possible. An FWC biologist will return the call to get additional details as well as the picture, if available. F or all other types of fish, call 800-636-0511 or  report online. To report sick or injured shorebirds, call 941-388-3010.
