DID YOU KNOW?
When a performance and payment bond (P&PB) is required, who records it? Once a contract has been executed, and a purchase order is issued for a project, the County will mail you the originals overnight. When you receive them you will need to have the P&PB recorded with the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller's Office.   Please email a recorded copy of the bond to the County's Administrative Agent for the contract.

Is my bid price exposed when I submit my offer? No. When you submit an offer in BidSync your submission is encrypted until bid opening. Construction bid pricing is released pursuant to F.S. 255.0518 when an abstract is posted to BidSync. For all other bids, pricing is made available upon Notice of Recommended Award, or 30 days after bid opening, pursuant to   F.S. 119.071(b) 2.

What do I do when the specifications are not clear on an active solicitation? P lease submit any questions related to active solicitations through BidSync, pursuant to Section 3.0 of the General Terms and Conditions of Solicitations .  

How do I set my BidSync account to receive only Sarasota County notifications? Vendors can edit their company profile to receive only bids from specific agencies. Follow the steps below to receive only Sarasota County notifications:

Under Company Profile
  1. Click on the Classifications Tab
  2. Click <Manage Regions> (blue box)
  3. Click <de-select all>
  4. Click the +sign next to Florida
  5. Check the box next to Sarasota
  6. Click <Save>
