Dear Community,

This Saturday, September 11th, marks the 20th anniversary of a somber occasion for our Nation. In partnership with SunCoast Blood Centers, we will be holding a special 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony beginning at 8:20 am, featuring Sarasota Mayor Hagen Brody, at the intersection of State Street and Lemon Avenue. Four bells will be rung, commencing at 8:46 AM, the time that the first plane hit Tower One, to mark each attack. SunCoast will also be collecting blood donations in honor of the occasion, with Donation Buses at both ends of Lemon Avenue.

Please join us as we come together as a community to honor the victims, first responders, and many heroes who rose to the occasion on that fateful day.
September 11 Memorial Blood Drive
Two SunCoast Blood Centers Blood Donation Buses will be at the Market this week, at both ends of Lemon Avenue (intersections of First Street and Pineapple Avenue) collecting life-saving donations.

Donors will receive a 9/11 Remembrance decal and their names will be engraved on a special 9/11 Twenty-Year Remembrance Plaque for public display. All donors will receive a COVID-19 antibody screening.

Donors who are unable to donate on Saturday can also pick up a voucher in order to be able to donate at a different time and still be a part of the display.

Update from the folks at Worden Farm
This time of year, we get lots of questions about when longtime Market Vendor, Worden Farm, will be back with their local organic produce.

We are excited to bring you an update from the farm, and also an announcement of their date of return! Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 2nd, and start planning your salads now!

"We are busy seeding, planting, and cultivating the crops — looking forward to our first harvests of the season and getting back to the market!" - Chris Worden, Worden Farm
Back from Italy:
Tuscan Eat
After a long-awaited trip back home to Italy, the proprietors of Tuscan Eat are back and excited to share their stories and delicious foods with Market customers. Be the envy of all your charcuterie loving friends when you pick up their authentic prosciutto or fresh truffles and truffle products.

Make sure to stop by and say, "Ciao!"

Entertainment this Week:
Robbie A
Hailing from the sunshine state, Robbie A started writing songs when he was young. Clinging to artists like Brooks and Dunn, and Garth Brooks, his country roots grew deep. Pretty soon he was writing and singing his life story over acoustic guitars and fiddle.

After a year of living, playing shows, and writing in Nashville, he is back home in Florida and touring all across the US.

Robbie A will be performing at the intersection of Lemon Ave and State St in front of The Mark entrance, 9:00am - 12:30pm.
Featured Non-Profit: ALSO Youth
ALSO Youth provides advocacy, leadership, support, and outreach for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-24 in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

ALSO Youth will be located at the SE Corner of the intersection of Lemon Ave and Main Street, near Wild Side Farms.
