July 2021
Dear Community,

We are more than halfway through the Summer, and parents everywhere are starting to think about sending their kids back to school. For some parents, however, the stress of providing school supplies is significant.

One thing that makes our Market so special is that it is part of our non-profit mission to give back to our community. That's why we're supporting Second Chance Last Opportunity's annual Backpack (and School) Supply Drive.

Give back to the community by bringing these needed items to donate to SCLO at this week's Farmers Market:
  • Backpacks
  • Reusable Water Bottles
  • Notebooks
  • Pencils
  • Black/Blue Pens
  • Highlighters
  • Binders/Binder DividersBinders/Binder Dividers

Vendor Spotlight
Sol Foodz is Caribbean plant based cuisine that will delight your palate. Full of whole foods, plants, and lots of spices and herbs, Sol Foodz is a nutrient dense pop of flavor! You'll feel refreshed and recharged after eating a breakfast burrito stuffed with chickpea chorizo and almond scramble on a homemade spelt flour tortilla. Chris changes his menu weekly based upon what organic vegetables are locally available, and all of his food is dairy and meat-free.

Sol Foodz will be located on State Street.
It's mid-July, and Halloween is just around the corner (for those of us hardcore fans). Start planning your spooky haunted decor with Sarasota Candle. Drew's candles offer the perfect party lighting for any get together, while the fragrances envelope the room in nostalgic smells. Your sniffer will be pleasantly surprised each time you light a Sarasota Candle.

Did you know you can have a candle made from your favorite beer can or bottle? Just drop off the empty container to Drew, and he will turn it into your one of a kind custom candle gift.

Sarasota Candle is located south of Main St on the west side of Lemon Ave (by the Gator Club).
Just Ginger is looking forward to their next harvest which should begin in the early Fall. They will have several varieties of ginger and turmeric roots, all of which are locally grown, harvested fresh weekly, and are pesticide free.

In the meantime, they have their handcrafted products such as Ginger Turmeric Honey Bombs, Tinctures, Salve, and Ginger Chips available now.

Just Ginger is located south of Main St on the west side of Lemon Ave.
