Because we had such a huge response to the publication of the City of Sarasota Downtown Planning schedule, we have added it again at the bottom of our Newsletter and will continue to update the information as it becomes available to us.

Sarasota and Manatee Homes Sell Quickly in August 2018

The overall news for the Sarasota housing market was good in August with an increase in inventory for both single family homes and condominiums.  There is currently 3.9 months supply of inventory for single family homes and 4.1 months for condos.  The number of closed sales for condos was up from 286 for August of 2017 to 315 in 2018. We did see a slight decrease in closed sales for single family homes from 725 in 2017 to 716 in 2018.  

'"Homes went under contract at a faster rate in August and prices continue to go up,' said Greg Owens, 2018 President of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee. 'We're still feeling the impact of low inventory levels."'
