Public Hearing

On April 18th the City Council will be holding a public hearing regarding the construction of a new outdoor multi sports area at the Recreation Center. The Recreation Commission unanimously voted to approve the project with hopes to have it installed by this summer. The Department of Public Works has committed their support by offering to prepare the grounds and pave the court. The Multi Use Sports Area is designed to explore the benefits of game play and socializing in order to encourage adolescents to lead active lifestyles. The Multi Use Sports Area will include a paved surface, two basketball courts, two soccer size goals, and mini goals, and will be enclosed by HDPE walls/steel/ and nylon netting.
