The annual Sardis Bake Sale is our most important fundraiser of the year. It supports all the amazing trips and experiences our youth enjoy throughout the year, including Montreat Youth Conference.

We would love to see all youth volunteer, especially those who have attended a Sardis Youth trip. There tons of ways to get involved, whether donating baked goods or giving your time during the event, or even spreading the word.

We've made it easy to sign up. There are two links below, one for baked good donations and one for volunteer shifts. Pick a shift, or a few, and let us know what tasty treats you can bring. Every contribution helps make this fundraiser a success for our youth ministry.

I want to be very clear, not to sound alarmist, but because it is important that we as the adult community supporting our youth are on the same page. The cost of youth trips continues to rise each year. This year, for example, our Montreat house has more than doubled in price. If we do not take these fundraising opportunities seriously, we will not be able to offer these types of programs to our youth. This is truly an all-hands-on-deck situation.

Massanetta Middle School Conference | Tues., 7/14 - Fri., 7/17 | Harrisonburg, VA | $400

Massanetta Springs Middle School Conference is a transformational program that welcomes hundreds of middlers and their leaders from all over the country each summer. Participants attend keynotes, recreation, workshops, small groups, and worship designed by the Advocates (high school leaders) with them in mind. It's a blast!

Mission Madness | Mon., 8/3 - Thurs., 8/6, 9am - 3pm | Charlotte, NC | $250

Mission Madness, is a chance for middle schoolers to explore community service and learn how the Church cares for our neighbors in need. Each morning, we’ll visit local nonprofit partners around Charlotte and end each day with a fun activity together. It’s a week of service, learning, and plenty of fun!

Camp Life | Mon., 6/15 - Weds., 6/17, 9am - 3pm | Charlotte, NC | $250

Camp Life is a day camp for middle schoolers designed to teach practical skills for real life. From healthy ways to cope with stress and anxiety, to fueling your body with good food, writing a check, and even changing a tire, we cover it all. This camp equips students with the tools they need to navigate life confidently!

Asheville Youth Mission Weekend | Fri., 3/27- Sun., 3/29 | Asheville, NC & Surrounding Areas | $340

This spring, we are heading to western North Carolina with youth from Providence Presbyterian Church to help with ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene. Working with Asheville Youth Mission, affiliated with the PC(USA), we will assist with rebuilding, cleanup, and other hands-on projects to support communities still recovering from the storm.

Junior & Senior Retreat | Fri., 4/17- Sun., 4/19 | Lake Norman, NC | $50

Current juniors and seniors are invited to a special retreat focused on intention. Seniors will reflect on what they want their faith to look like after “graduating” from youth ministry and explore tools to make independent choices to stay connected to their faith. Juniors will begin to curate what they want their senior year to feel like both at school and church, since it’s such a big and formative year.

Montreat Youth Conference | Sun. 7/26 - Sat. 8/1 | Montreat, NC | $500

We’ll spend a week in the mountains worshiping, reflecting, laughing, connecting, praying, and growing together in our relationships with God and with each other. Montreat is a favorite retreat for Sardis youth and a deeply formative experience that inspires faith, friendship, and fun. It is truly a special place that all of our high school youth should get to explore and experience!

Save the Date! Worship Arts & Music Conference | Sun., 6/21 - Fri., 6/26 | Montreat, NC

This intergenerational conference is for children, youth, adults, pastors, directors, organists, singers, ringers, worship leaders, and church members. All are welcome! The Presbyterian Association of Musicians (PAM) works in cooperation with Montreat Conference Center to offer two identical Worship & Music conferences each summer. Guided by the principles of Reformed worship, conferees explore opportunities for vital worship experiences and enriching the liturgical life of the local church.

At Sardis Youth Ministry, we believe every young person should have access to conferences, trips, retreats, and experiences that nurture their faith and strengthen their friendships. To ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way, scholarships are available for all trips. Any member of Sardis Youth is welcome to apply.
