Congratulations on your Graduation, Jason!
As Jason prepares to graduate, we are excited to celebrate the many ways he has made our school community brighter. Jason is well known for his karaoke and dance performances, especially his signature "Carlton Banks" moves. A big fan of Glee and Cobra Kai, he is always ready to put on a show. His great sense of humor shines through in his playful personality and the many silly and memorable nicknames he’s created for staff.
Jason has a strong work ethic, holding several jobs, including at Chartwell’s at New England Tech and the Hilton Garden Inn, and he also enjoys landscaping work alongside his dad. At Sargent, Jason is a reliable helper in the greenhouse, where he takes pride in caring for plants and helping with tasks such as raking and mulching. Jason has also made impressive strides in independence, mastering functional life skills and classroom jobs like vacuuming, wiping down tables, and stocking the school store. When working in the store, Jason is personable and professional with customers and takes his responsibilities seriously — especially when carefully checking dollar bills to make sure they are “real.”
Outside of school, Jason is even a TikTok micro-influencer, spreading smiles and positivity to his growing audience. Most importantly, Jason is a kind and supportive friend who looks out for others, often going out of his way to help classmates who need extra support.
We are so proud of Jason and all he has accomplished. As he graduates from Sargent Center, we know he will continue to bring joy, hard work, and positivity to everything he does. Congratulations, Jason — we will miss you!

Congratulations on your Graduation, Chris!
During his time at Sargent, Chris made remarkable strides toward independence in his daily routines. He developed skills in shopping, and cooking, building confidence in managing important daily living tasks. In his work trials, Chris learned to accept feedback—an achievement that reflects his maturity and resilience.
Chris also became an active and enthusiastic member of the community. What once began as hesitation to leave school has transformed into eager participation in weekly outings. From shopping trips, donations, and visits to the post office and farmer’s market, to strawberry picking, recycling, bowling, swimming at the community pool, and even sailing, Chris embraced new experiences with growing confidence.
Perhaps most meaningful has been Chris’s growth in relationships. He developed strong, meaningful connections with his teachers and gained trust in those around him. Chris has also been a wonderful friend to his classmates.
Always eager to help, he proudly took on “teacher tasks” like copying, stapling, filing, and shredding. His creativity shone through in the incredible Power Rangers and favorite characters he crafted out of cardboard. He loves music and dancing, and Halloween was always his favorite day — an opportunity to dress up and, of course, collect plenty of candy!
Chris has grown in so many ways that have been deeply meaningful to him and his family. Congrats, Chris! We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. Your Sargent family will be cheering you on as you begin this next chapter.

Carolyn Hoover
Behavior Specialist
| | |
Carolyn’s journey at Sargent began at an early age when she first joined us as an intern. Since then, she has consistently gone above and beyond, and has demonstrated growth and compassion in every role she has held. Now, in her new role as a Behavior Specialist, Carolyn continues to shine. Carolyn consistently makes herself available to both staff and students at a moment's notice, and her willingness to help – wherever and whenever she is needed – never wavers.
What truly sets Carolyn apart is her natural ability to connect with students. She meets each student with genuine care and understanding, and somehow always knows exactly what they need in the moment — whether that’s calm support, encouragement, or a little fun. From creating art masterpieces and jumping into a blow-up dinosaur costume just to make students smile, to being a consistent support to students during behavioral challenges, Carolyn brings joy, creativity, and heart into everything she does.
We are incredibly grateful for all she has given to Sargent over the years, and we know our school community will continue to be blessed by her energy, compassion, and unwavering support of our students in her new role. Thank you, Carolyn, for all that you do — and for being such a bright spot in our school!
