Sunday Morning Worship will be held online.
You can participate in any of the following ways.
Because of the shelter-in-place order, Rev. Amy and those helping to lead worship will be participating from their homes and you'll see them on your screen, with the bulletin also displayed so you can follow along. We're all learning about online worship together! We’ve made some changes that will make it easier to hear. Hang in there... it’s going to take some practice before we're confident in our new skills.
There are four ways to participate in worship: Live options are: Facebook Live, Zoom video, or Zoom conference call (no computer needed). Later you can view just the sermon or the
entire service on YouTube.

|
Sunday Morning Tech Support: 9 am to 11 am.
Zoom practice sessions are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 6 pm.
Joanna will be offering help to those wanting to participate in, or host, a Zoom meeting.

On Sacred Space
The Rev. Amy Denney Zuniga
Church, sanctuary, temple—these are our sacred spaces. We set this space apart (“set apart” is the root meaning of “sacred”) to connect with God, to re-center ourselves, and go into the rest of our lives and the world with a renewed sense of God’s presence. In the time of coronavirus when pubic worship spaces are closed, we have a unique opportunity to discover God in our everyday lives and to create sacred space at home.

This article,
Making an Altar at Home,
has wonderful, simple instructions for creating a sacred space in your home that can work for the whole family. Children who have spent time in our Atrium will be familiar with the Prayer Table—
this video shows
a Catechist of the Good Shepherd from All Souls Cathedral in Asheville, NC describing how to create a prayer table CGS-style. Finally, my family shared on Facebook this week our sacred spaces—my own prayer area (be ready for some mess!), my children’s prayer table, and the sacred space I have created as a backdrop for our virtual Sunday worship
(watch)
.
I encourage you to find a place and some items that draw you closer to God, and set up a sacred space at home this week. You can’t go wrong! As we worship at home in the weeks to come and through Holy Week, this will draw us closer to God and one another, helping us to see the Holy One who is yearning and reaching out for us in love in every intimate, mundane moment of our lives.
Deep peace, Amy+

Psalm 139: 6-9
Where can I go then from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I climb up to heaven, you are there; if I make the grave my bed, you are there also. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there your hand will lead me and your right hand hold me fast.

A Pilgrimage Through Holy Week: The Great Vigil of Easter
The services of Holy Week are a journey with Jesus through passion and death to resurrection. Join Susan Calkin, Edie Kausch, Rev. Amy and Rev. Wendy as we explore the origins of these ancient rituals and the resonance they have for our own journey through loss to new life. Coming Soon to Your House:
Holy Week @ Home!
It looks like we will be unable to
celebrate the holiest days of our faith--
the week we walk with Jesus and his disciples through his passion, death, and resurrection-- in person at Grace this year. In this unique moment our parishioners have stepped forward with creativity and passion. Filmmaker Brian Capener is working on a series of inspiring videos set in our beautiful sanctuary (shot before shelter-in-place!) to ground us as we celebrate the Great Three Days of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Vigil of Easter on Holy Saturday in our homes. Prayers, reflections, and family-friendly rituals you can engage at home will be provided.
Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday services will be
live via Zoom at 9AM.

Community Resources During Covid-19
|
|
Napa County now has reported cases of COVID-19. The County's snap shot page is the best place to keep updated with information vetted daily on the situation status, what the stay-at-home order means, and where to find testing.
Grace is part of the Napa COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) and we will continue to share information and resources we receive through them; they will have a centralized website with COVID-19 resources available beginning next week. In the meantime:
- Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) for low to moderate-income workers facing serious financial hardship because of the dramatic disruption of the local economy. You can apply for funding and see what other state or federal benefits you qualify for by contacting:

The Refugees’ Way of the Cross
This resource has been digitized and is available to download.
You may pray with it whenever you wish. It draws parallels between the way of suffering that Jesus walked and the stories of those forced to flee their homes over the last 100 years.
