Hello Sato Dragons—
It is time for me to say farewell, and to thank our Sato community for the best six years of my thirty year career. I have loved every day at Sato, working with the most amazing staff, students, and families ever.
Sato is a magical place! I have often felt like Dumbledore at Hogwarts—from quidditch practice (drone soccer), to classes that are filled with magic and wonder where young people are learning and experimenting together, to the teachers bustling around to facilitate learning and to challenge students to think deeper and not be afraid of failing in their first several attempts.
I will miss my interactions with all of you the most. Now I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, acknowledging our community for its heart, brain, and courage. I am going home to my version of Kansas, but I leave an enchanted place that is has taught me much and where I have forged deep memories and relationships.
Please welcome Chris Thompson, who is stepping into the role of Dumbledore. He is approachable and kind, wise and hardworking. I love him as the choice for our Sato Dragons.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and hard work. Thank you for all you do to make Sato the best possible place for our students. I love you and we will always be part of the Sato story together. For you, and for that, I am deeply, incredibly blessed.
Have a restful summer, and Goooo Dragons!
Ronnie
