California Scholarship Federation application window is open until 9/28
Congratulations to all students who worked so diligently in all their classes on the Spring 2023 Semester report card. You should feel great pride at your accomplishments including grade-level projects.
Now it is time to be recognized for all that hard work. Applications are being accepted for California Scholarship Federation (CSF). CSF is a statewide academic organization founded in 1921 to celebrate high academic achievements.
CSF membership drives are held each Fall and Spring and are open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who meet the academic requirements with their prior semester’s grades. Students who qualify for membership at least 4 semesters in grades 10, 11, and 12 are eligible for Life (Sealbearer) Membership. These students receive recognition at graduation as well as the opportunity to apply for scholarships.
Ninth grade students have to wait to submit an application based on their first high school report card in February.
If you are interested in joining CSF please print the attached application, read the directions carefully, fill it out, attach a copy of your June 2023 grade, and bring these documents plus $5 member dues to Ms. Byrne (5114) by 9/28. DO NOT leave the applications or money in the office or attach original report cards (scan/make a photocopy or print out your report card from ParentVue/StudentVue).
While CSF encourages service and collegiality, these are not necessary to join. Unlike some other clubs, CSF members are not required to attend meetings in order to maintain membership. Hopefully, this information helps students, who are afraid of overcommitting themselves, with the decision to join.
Thank you and congratulations again on your achievements,
Ms. Byrne
