Meeting at Elixir Brew Co.
Sunday Worship (10am)
www.goodnewschurchga.com
Good News Church Family & Friends,
This past Sunday was a BIG day for Good News Church! We ordained three new Deacons (Matt Dickey, Dale McNicol, and Andy Welch). Five years ago, when Good News Church started, these men were fairly "green" in their faith and new in the daily journey of walking with the Lord, and we're humbled, grateful, and amazed to see the work that God has done in growing each of them up in spiritual maturity and faith from that day to this one. What a blessing!
We also celebrated the Covenant Baptism of Liam Fearon (1 1/2 years old), the Confirmation of Faith of Brooks McInnis, Ethan McInnis, Esther Miller, Lauren Miller, and Micah Warner, and the Covenant Partnership of Charlie Mustachia and Marcia Steinbuch.
Dan Boot did a great job preaching on Romans 2. If you missed it, you'll definitely want to give it a listen. To access the sermon audio, notes, and slides, click here.
We're encouraging everyone to read ahead each Sunday because it will be helpful to be somewhat familiar with the text before the sermon message. So, for this Sunday, October 4, your pre-Sunday reading is Romans 3.
Finally, CONGRATULATIONS to newlyweds, Tony & Michaela (Brock) Chisolm, who were married this past Sunday, September 27. See photos below. :)

Do you have room for a tiny house on your property?
Our friend, Kash Hyder, is in pretty serious need of housing. If we don’t find a workable solution soon, it is very possible he will end up homeless. One idea is to put a tiny house on someone’s property for Kash to rent at an affordable price and a benefit to the landowner. If you're open to the possibilities, email Drue or call/text at 404-906-9117.

INSPIRATION
Verse of the Week
“Do you not know that it is the Lord's kindness that leads you to repentance?" - Romans 2:4
Quote of the Week
“After a lifetime of testing what human beings are truly made of, I have landed on one quiet conclusion. The most powerful force I have ever witnessed is not strength. It is kindness. We live in an age that celebrates the loud and the ruthless, the ones who claw their way to the top over everyone else. But I have never once, at any summit or in any boardroom, met a truly happy person who got there by being unkind. When my time comes, I will not want to be remembered for the mountains I climbed or the oceans I crossed. I want my boys to remember that their dad was kind. That, in the end, is the only summit that has ever really mattered to me." - Bear Grylls

VISION, MISSION & VALUES
The vision of Good News Church GA is "to experience and express LOVE from God to others" The verse that undergirds our vision is Galatians 5:6b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."
The mission of Good News Church GA is "to connect with people and build relationships through community workshops, neighborhood-focused ministry, serving local needs, mentoring, and worship."
We value people, community, relationships, prayer, and Bible reading. We also value being able to be yourself. We’re all struggling with something, so there’s no need to pretend that we have it all together.
