THAT STILL SMALL VOICE
Have you ever had a hearing loss? I did. I had the usual childhood diseases of mumps, chicken pox, whooping cough, and measles, and they all settled in my ears. Over the years, my hearing diminished, and I didn’t realize how much I wasn’t hearing until a friend gave me a pair of hearing aids. It was an immediate change in my life, for once again, I was hearing the little things, like birds singing, or the wind in the willows. I didn’t know that my clock on my wall ticked until then either. It was like a miracle to hear again.
Then there is the hearing that we often overlook because we get caught up in the daily activities and the rush of being “busy”. The still small voice of God that is bidding us to come and listen. If we pay attention to it, it will lead us into all truth. Holy Spirit speaks quietly. He is very gentle. He never pushes and withdraws easily if we bring grief to Him.
As we get quiet, and that is certainly hard for those that have been “action” people, then He will speak. Often it is just a nudge. Sometimes it is a thought that comes into our mind, but we know it is Him. In Song of Solomon 1:4 it says, “Draw me, we will run after thee: The King hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.” There is a drawing, an urging to come into the secret place with God Almighty, and just experience His love and peace. That drawing will bring you to the place where nothing else matters.
Many resist the book of the Song of Solomon, but it is the love story of a King and his bride. It should be read and read again. Then in Ephesians 4:25 husbands are commanded to “love their wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” This kind of unselfish love for a wife can only come when a husband knows and understands and becomes like the King in the chamber of Song of Solomon. How different marriage would be and relationships beyond marriage will be when we listen to that still small voice and receive the love only God can give. Then, and only then can we give it to others. Listen, my friends, for He is speaking.

TO GIVE AND BE GIVEN – LESSON 15
GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT PART 1
The Holy spirit is our gift from the Father, but there are also gifts from the Holy Spirit to “be given” to those who desire the deeper works of Christ to manifest in their life and works.
Jesus told His disciples previous to His crucifixion in John 14:12, “He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also. And greater works than these shall he do because I go to my Father.”
Jesus healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, restored body parts, cast out demons, and raised the dead. Now how is it that we shall do works greater than those things? By what power are they done?
First of all, Father gave all power in heaven and earth to Jesus. But how do we access such power from Jesus? It is through the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) and the gifts He imparts to us. Just before His ascension back to heaven’s throne, He told them in Acts 1:4: “Wait for the promise of the Father (The Holy Ghost),” after which He said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is come upon you…”
After His ascension, they waited (tarried) in “the upper room” in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit (who was already within them) came upon them in fullness of power as recorded in Acts chapter two. The manifestation of this gift of power was “speaking in other tongues” (languages unknown to the one speaking them) and tongues of fire (representing the power of the Holy Ghost) upon their hands. The “fire” of the Holy Ghost was so strong in them that over those first two days, over eight thousand people were saved through their empowered preaching.
This is what we call the “baptism of the Holy Ghost.” Jesus had already imparted the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) into his disciples prior to His ascension (John 20:22) thus they (disciples) were already “born again” through Jesus’ blood and the imparted Holy Spirit. Now at Pentecost, they were “baptized with power” in the Holy Ghost.
Many believers have been saved and have the indwelling Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) but have never received the baptism of Holy Ghost power. Those who have the “baptism of the Holy Ghost” are eligible to “be given” gifts from the Holy Spirit, although not everyone is given those gifts. I Corinthians 12:11 says, “But all these (the nine gifts) worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man as he will.” The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) decides who will get His gifts and which particular gifts they receive. It is through these gifts that we access Jesus’ power to do the “greater works” of which He spoke in John 14:12.
What are the gifts to “be given” by the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost)? There are nine specific gifts written about in I Corinthians 12:8-10. They are gifts that come from God as follows:
1. Tongues (unknown languages to the speaker)
2. Interpretation of tongues (interpret supernaturally messages in unknown tongues)
3. Prophecy (messages given in your own language)
4. Word of Knowledge
5. Discerning of spirits (good or evil)
6. Word of wisdom
7. Faith for special purposes
8. Gifts of healings
9. Miracles
These gifts are for the benefit of the body of Christ, (church) and also as a sign to unbelievers to draw them to Christ.
It is through the operation of the gifts from the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) that we can do Jesus’ greater works.

PROPHETIC WORD
Do you hear the whisper, the soft-spoken words that would come to your spirit throughout the day? That is me saith the Lord. I am communing with you and I do it through that still quiet voice of a whisper. I am breathing into your spirit refreshing that is most surely needed in this hour. I am bringing my peace into your spirit that will calm the storms around you. Surely, I have whispered, and you have responded. Let the chaos and the burdens go my child and come sit at my feet. Let me be your focus in this hour and know that I am here to refresh you and bring peace. Surely as the world goes darker, my light will come and guide your path. Yes, my child, I am here, and I am speaking. So often, the noise and the rush bring confusion and doubt, but I am here. Never doubt that I know what is happening in your life, for I am the one that created you. So, sit quietly at my feet and let the distractions go and just enjoy being in my presence. Do you hear the whispers? They are words of love and encouragement. For I will continue to be here and guide you and bring the peace that you need in this hour. Just open your ears to hear that still small voice saith the Lord.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION
We’ve all been wronged at one time or another; For some it’s been intentionally while others have been unintentionally. The bottom line is that you’ve been wronged and it hurts. However, the truth of the matter is... What will hurt you even more is for you to hold onto that unforgiveness. One factor that will surely motivate us all to forgive is that as a Christian we are told by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to forgive. He tells us in Mark 11:25 "If you have anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive you of your trespasses". Besides these instructions of our Lord, there are two practical reasons for us all to willingly forgive. 1. Forgiveness stops the cycle of blame and pain; But without having true forgiveness in your heart you’ll remain bound to the person or the persons that you can't or that you will not forgive. 2. Forgiveness loosens the hold of guilt and shame on you (even if you had no part in the hurt); And it will then allow you to move on with your life. Remember the words of the great British poet George Herbert.."He who cannot forgive others burns the bridge over which he himself must pass". Have a blessed day and with God’s help; Forgive, forget and move on with peace in your heart and in your mind.
