Zoom attendees it's helpful if you have any prayer you want to offer put in the chat early. It is ok to put it in as soon as you check in on zoom. This way we won’t miss someone’s request for prayers. 


Also - Please have your food and drink ready for communion before mass starts. Communion is an important part of our liturgy and we believe all food is God’s food. It is your intention that makes it communion.

Annual meeting of the Membership of Mary of Magdala on May 19, 2024


 

Please plan to attend the annual meeting of the members of Mary Magdala ECC after Mass on May 19th. As a non-profit (501(c)3), we are required to conduct an annual meeting but more importantly we will update the parish on our ministries and financial health, ratify the proposed budget, elect new leadership council members and obtain feedback from those attending.

 

A meal will be hosted by our Hospitality Ministry.

Open Invitation to all Members of Mary of Magdala ECC



Nominations are now being accepted to serve our community as a member of the leadership council. Nominations (and self-nominations) can be sent to 

marymagdalafc@gmail.com by April 18th to be elected at our Annual Meeting on May 19th.


The council serves as the governing body of our community dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Mary of Magdala. The Council shall be responsible for making and implementing decisions on (but not limited to): the financial and physical needs of the community, determining and providing support for ministries, parish legal and financial responsibilities.


The term is two years with a maximum of 3 consecutive terms. Council meetings are generally held by zoom on the 4th Monday of the month.


Please pray, with an open heart, about serving on the council. Questions regarding the leadership council can be sent to marymagdalafc@gmail.com.

Join the 301 Faith Partners' Build Day for Habitat for Humanity


On April 20th, work will start at 7:45 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Wear your yard work clothes and sturdy shoes, and bring your favorite work gloves. Each build day has a lunch included and supplied by one of our churches.


All work is supervised by a professional carpenter. No one is asked to do anything that they may feel is uncomfortable or unsafe.


There may be painting, or hammering, or digging, or all sorts of work that helps get these homes built. There is usually about a dozen volunteers working from our sister churches!

Spring cleanup day on April 27th!


Join us for a Spring Cleaning day on Saturday, April 27th! It will be held 9:00am until noon. Inside projects will be planned in the case of bad weather.

6th Annual Heroes for Homeless Families Awards Dinner


Family Housing Network’s 6th Annual HEROES for Homeless Families Awards Dinner will be held

Friday, April 26th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at CSU's Canvas Stadium.


The event will include dinner, an online auction, live raffle, words from a family who has successfully used FHN’s services, and the awards presentation.

Trinity Readers


The Trinity Readers (the TLC morning book group) will meet on Monday, May 6th, at 9:30 a.m. in room 2 to discuss the historical novel Horse by Geraldine Brooks – the story of the enslaved black groomsman who in 1850 trained the most successful racing horse in history. 301 Faith Partners Prayer Group


On the last Monday of each month at 10:30 am, the 301 Faith Partners Prayer Group meets to pray for the 301 Faith Partners! The group opens by calling on the Holy Spirit to be present. They

then take one of the Core Values of the 301 Faith Partners and reflect on it. Following this, they engage in Lectio Divina and then share their reflections. They pray for the clergy of Mary of Magdala, St. Paul’s, and Trinity, and the leadership bodies of all three congregations. And they close with a Litany of God’s Mission for the 301 Faith Partners, which was first prayed at the Bishops’ Blessing on May 31, 2023.

301 Quilters Update



The 301 Quilters stay busy making quilts from the donations given to us. We meet each Friday from 10-12 in Room 2. All are welcome and no experience is needed. We'll teach and guide through the quilt making process. Come be a part of this Faith Partner ministry.
