Foot Washer Ministry - A member in need
Maria, member of Mary of Magdala for a couple of years now, is looking for a place to live that is more suitable than the noisy apartment where she lives currently.
Her ideal, perhaps, is to share a house with a middle-aged or elderly woman that might have a room and extra bathroom to spare. She is able to pay some rent but is allergic to cats.
If you can assist, please email marymagdalafc@gmail.com and we will send you her contact information

NEW - Introduction to Centering Prayer
Mark your calendars
You are invited to participate in a free workshop “Introduction to Centering Prayer” on Saturday, March 29th, from 9 AM to Noon in the Sanctuary.
In this workshop, you will discover a centuries-old prayer method. Centering Prayer consists of simply sitting in silence with God - beyond thoughts, words, and emotions - and opening our mind, heart and whole being to the Ultimate Mystery. You will learn the basics of Centering Prayer, experience it in a guided setting, and be able to ask questions and share experiences with the presenter and your fellow initiates.
Centering Prayer is based on a Christian contemplative practice first described in The Cloud of Unknowing, written in the latter half of the 14th Century. It calls us to abandon any consideration of God’s attributes and actions, and to surrender to His/Her influence in our lives. It is a very personal prayer practice but can also be practiced in groups. It opens us to God’s presence within and to His/Her infinite love and power to heal.
For more information or to RSVP, contact Mary of Magdala and address your message to Pedro: marymagdalaFC@gmail.com

January Eco Tip
From your 301 FP Social and Eco-Justice Ministry
Efficiency Works unites the energy and water efficiency offerings of Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland Water & Power, Estes Park Power & Communications, Longmont Power & Communications, and Platte River Power Authority.
They offer rebates, efficiency assessment, retail products, and a service provider directory. Part of the assessment program is a free phone consultation. This would be useful when you are considering buying, for example, a new furnace or water heater. The consultant does not represent a dealer or installer and so can offer unbiased advice. To learn more, go to EfficiencyWorks.org

Volunteering at Irish Elementary
Are you interested in having a rewarding, making-a-difference experience? Please consider listening to a child who needs help with reading. We need reading tutors at Irish Elementary School. We currently have need of a tutor at 10:40 am on Wednesdays.
Although Irish is a bilingual school, you do not need to know Spanish to help. If you spend 30-45 minutes a week helping a child read, you’ll be rewarded knowing that you’ve made a big difference in that child’s life. Please contact Jo Anne Gearhart at gearhartjm@yahoo.com Thank you.

301 Faith Partners Prayer Group
On the last Monday of each month at 10:30 am, the 301 Faith Partners Prayer Group meets to pray for the 301 Faith Partners! The group opens by calling on the Holy Spirit to be present. They then take one of the Core Values of the 301 Faith Partners and reflect on it. Following this, they engage in Lectio Divina and then share their reflections.
They pray for the clergy and leadership bodies of Mary of Magdala, St. Paul’s, and Trinity. They close with a Litany of God’s Mission for the 301 Faith Partners, which was first prayed at the Bishops’ Blessing on May 31, 2023.
301 Quilters Update
The 301 Quilters stay busy making quilts from the donations given to us. We meet each Friday from 10-12 in Room 2. All are welcome and no experience is needed. We'll teach and guide through the quilt making process. Come be a part of this Faith Partner ministry.
Contact Pat at pathw27@gmail.com with any questions.
Chapter 2 Book Club
Thursday January 30 at 6 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Trinity to discuss The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese. (This is a long one if you haven't read it yet and you'd like to join the conversation, I'd suggest starting this one sooner rather than later).
If you are planning to attend, please email Madeline at madeline.b.fairfax@gmail.com to receive a week-of meeting reminder and any last minute changes to plans.
Trinity Readers
Have you ever thought that you might be interested in a book group open to the Faith Partners? Now it the time to offer your input! Trinity Readers will plan their schedule for 2025 at a meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 6. Come and bring a suggestion for one fiction and one non-fiction book that we should consider. (You can send your suggestions ahead of time to nadineamyhunt@gmail.com if you wish). We are going to do our planning while we enjoy brunch, so also bring a breakfast/brunch item
to share – fruit, yogurt, muffins, etc.
Questions? Call Nadine Hunt at 970-825-3730.
