Mary of Magdala Announcements

From Fr. Teri Harroun to the friends and members of Mary of Magdala

Hello friends.

I am sending you this email because you are an important friend and ally for Light of Christ.  It is amazing to think that this year on Pentecost we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary as a community in the Ecumenical Catholic Communion.

I wanted you to know about our celebration on TODAY Saturday June 7th. Mass is at 5pm and a party in the Fellowship Hall will be after Mass.  Please consider joining us. And if you can, bring a small side dish.

No RSVP is required.  But we share this invitation with you because you are part of why we continue to be Light of Christ after 20 years.

Come to Crocus This Week!

Crocus, the MOM group of GenXers and Millennials, will gather in the Fireside Room at TLC on Tuesday, June 10, at 6:30 p.m. to draft social justice reflections for Mass.

Bring a laptop or tablet or just a couple topic ideas in your head. Treats provided.

Email Jared at jared.orsi@gmail.com for questions.

301 Faith Partners

A Letter from from Deacon Katie Kline

(Our 301 Partner - Trinity Lutheran Church)

My Dear Friends,

It is bittersweet to write this letter of resignation. Curtis has been offered a postdoctoral position at the University of Arizona, and our family will be relocating there.

While I am looking forward to this next chapter for our family, it is difficult to say goodbye. Serving in this 301 Partnership has been a blessing. Over the

last six years we have walked together through joys, sorrows, not to mention the COVID pandemic, worshiping online and everything else that season entailed.

You walked with me as our family grew. First, we welcomed Theodore into the world, and you accompanied me in ways I will never forget throughout the challenging first months of his life. Then, when Raphael was born you received him as well. This will always be the place where both boys were welcomed into the church through their baptisms.

I have learned so much from each of you, and even as I write these words, I find it difficult to express how much you mean to me. Our congregations are filled with incredible and faithful people. I am grateful for the collaboration from the councils and ministries (past and present) with whom I have worked so closely.

My last Sunday with you will be June 22nd. Until then, I will cherish our time together and continue to hold you in my prayers. I have no doubt God will continue to do wonderful things here as you continue to follow where God is leading.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. You will forever hold a sacred place in my heart.

In Christ’s Peace,

Deacon Katie Kline

Our Next 301 Faith Partners Worship Service will be on June 29

At 10:30 am we will celebrate Eucharist with all three congregations.

And then at around noon we’ll have a pot luck picnic on the south lawn of the church. Bring some picnic food to share. Come and join in the fellowship!

No 12:30 Mass on June 29

The 301 Faith Partners Garden Needs Volunteers

There has never been a more appropriate time for a garden! We need locally grown food, both for ourselves and for the greater community, and the 301 Faith Partners supply some of this need through our garden.

But we need volunteers!

People who want to get their hands dirty in a productive and life-giving way, people who like to steward growing things, and people who value community are asked to please volunteer to help out with this worthwhile project of bringing healthy food to our little place in the world.

Email Nyla Anderson and offer your service!! nander0620@aol.com

Chapter Two Book Group

Chapter Two Book Group will meet on Thursday, June 19 at 6 pm in the Fireside Room to discuss Bruno, Chief of Police by Martin Walker. Anyone is welcome to join, from 301 Faith Partners, the community, and beyond!

Please contact Maddie Fairfax if you’d like to join the email list for this group or have any questions.

Saints & Sinners Golf Group

Saints & Sinners Golf Group is back for the 2025 summer season! We plan to play nine holes on three Friday mornings and then gather for snacks and fellowship. Tee times will be reserved at Northern Colorado courses, most within 30 minute drive of Fort Collins. We are a small but committed group. If you would like to join the group, send an email to Donna.

Saint Paul's and Mary of Magdala members are invited to join this Trinity small group ministry. Our play dates are June 20, July 25 & September 12.

301 Quilters

301 Quilters will be working all through the summer this year. If you’ve been interested in being a part of this group but weren’t able to make it through the school year, please consider joining us in the summer months.

We all have busy schedules with appointments and travels, so feel free to come whenever you’re in town and available. Maybe there are some youth that would like to participate? We’d love to have you. We all know the saying regarding many hands. We meet Fridays 10 am-12 pm with the exception of July 4.
