Looking for Greeters!

MoM is asking for several members to be dedicated "Greeters" at Mass. The idea is not only to greet new individuals who attend Mass (which we collectively do well) but also to interact with and direct transient individuals who may be unhoused and seeking support or use of the restrooms and perhaps the showers. Please contact Kerri Anderson or David Cloyd at marymagdalafc@gmail.com if you are interested in serving.

For anyone interested in how we might better interact with the unhoused, an inservice will be provided by Lisa Dunworth from Outreach Ft. Collins. The event will be on the 22nd of October at noon in Room 2 here at TLC. All are welcome with no obligation to provide service as a "Greeter". 

Commemorate all souls that have gone before - Saturday, November 1, 10:30 to 12 NOON

We will commemorate all the souls that have gone before us, and in particular, those we have loved and who have touched our hearts.

Some of our loses need not have been an actual death but the loss feels like a death. Bring your feelings of sadness and joy, pain and healing – all of which make us part of humanity.

Liturgy includes prayer, silence, one presentation on grief and loss and one on journeying through death into the beyond, candle lighting, and music.

Please bring a representation(s) of those you are remembering – a photo, a name, a list, a gift received, any image you create or that comes to mind.

Let us pray in thanksgiving for the peace of the Spirit that comes from loving entanglements.

7 Pillars to Defend Democracy in 2025 and Beyond

The Democracy Playbook 2025 identifies seven foundational pillars—such as protecting elections and rule of law, combating corruption, and countering disinformation—as essential to safeguarding democracy.

This third edition of the Democracy Playbook updates its predecessor 2019 and 2021 publications of evidence-based best practices for reversing democratic backsliding. We have added the research and developments of the eventful past three years—and have done so with an eye toward what is likely to be a challenging 2025. Our aim as before is to help citizens and stakeholders reclaim good governance, transparency, and the rule of law, and strengthen democratic resilience in the face of dangerous autocrats.....

Join the New Men's Spirituality Group!

Male Spirituality will be meeting on Mondays at 6:30 PM in Room 5. Carrying on the work of Fr Richard Rohr and Illuman, we will utilize the power of ritual, image, and story to expand the depth and breadth of love in ourselves to make a difference in the world, using a circle of structured sharing.

This October, Trinity Readers is Reading....

The Book of Forgiving by Desmond Tutu!

Members of all the 301 Partner churches are invited to join the Trinity Readers on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 AM in the Fireside Room for a book discussion. On November 3rd, we will discuss The Book of Forgiving by Desmond Tutu. This book lays out the simple truths about the significance of forgiveness- how it works and why it is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. Questions? Call Cheryl Smith at 970-218-5750.

Fall Clean Up

Please join the 301 Faith Partners for the annual Fall Cleanup on Saturday, November 8, from 9 am-12 pm. There will be tasks for all skill levels, please plan to bring your favorite rake, leaf-blower/leaf-vacuum, pruning shears, and/or other tools to clean up the church campus. If you would prefer to work inside OR if the weather is too bad to be outside, please plan to bring cleaning supplies and hand vacuums for interior room cleaning. 

Join the 301 Quilters!

We’ve come to another year’s end of the 301 Quilters. That means we will gather all the quilts that have been made in the past 12 months into the sanctuary.

As part of the joint service on Sunday, October 19 we will bless those quilts before they are delivered to Denver and then on to Minnesota and then across the globe. Please join us for this special service.

AND THEN…

The following weekend Saturday, October 25th and Sunday the 26th, we invite you to join an old-fashioned quilting bee in the fellowship hall after each service. Well, it will actually be a new-fashioned tying bee. We’ll have a couple of quilts ready for you to help us tie them. We’ll have the needles threaded and you just make a loop and tie a knot. It’s simple and fun.

Refuge, Rights and Community: A Learning Series on Immigration · By ISAAC of Northern Colorado

Refuge, Rights and Community is a three-part education series on the impact of current policies and practices on immigrant and refugee communities in Northern Colorado.

This series is a collaborative effort hosted by Church World Service Fort Collins, ISAAC of Northern Colorado, Arboretum Coffee and Alianza NORCO.
