Mary of Magdalene Society
Third Annual appeal
Christmas in July
Celebrating the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene – who supported Jesus’ ministry — is our opportunity to also continue supporting Jesus’ ministry via the Mary Magdalene Society (MMS).
| | | |
The Mary Magdalene Society was formed in 2015 with the purpose of having an endowment that creates a permanent financial foundation. Based on the annual interest earned from the MMS Foundation, grants are then awarded to various causes.
Specifically, the Mary Magdalene Society supports:
- ECC Youth ministry service projects
- Seminarians/clergy who are ECC affiliated with economic needs
- Student debt relief
- Incardination expenses
- Candidate ordination expenses

THE 2026 WELCOME EVENT
Help for housing-insecure students at CSU, in partnership with the Lutheran Campus Ministry.
Since 2021, Plymouth has collaborated with Lutheran Campus Ministry’s Student Housing Security Initiative, CSU’s Office of International Programs and the Fort Collins International Center to help welcome their students to campus. LuMin students are housed three to an apartment at Rams Village. This means there are beds, desks, chests, table and chairs, couch/chairs/coffee table, appliances, and empty kitchen cabinets.
Housing for international students varies in size and what is provided. The purpose of the Welcome Event is to provide, at no cost to the students, items that will help them make their space functional, conducive to study, comfortable and HOME.
Drop off at Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 West Prospect Road, Fort Collins, CO
Sunday 8/9 - 9:00 am-Noon Wednesday 8/12 - 1:00-4:00 pm Thursday, 8/13 - 3:00-6:00 pm

Trinity Readers
Trinity Readers will meet in the Fireside Room on Monday, August 3, at 9:30 AM to discuss Follow the Stars Home by Diane C. McPhail - a novel of America's history during Western Expansion.
The story is told by Lydia Latrobe Roosevelt who is the daughter of one of the architects of the U.S. Capitol. She married Nicholas Roosevelt, an inventor twice her age who is her father's colleague. He is the inventor and builder of the "New Orleans," a steamboat with dual-side paddles. She is Theodore Roosevelt's great-grand aunt.
It is Lydia's story of the first steamboat voyage on the Mississippi River. She shares her challenges of being pregnant, Indian unrest, disease, injury, flooding, the Falls of the Ohio River and other dangers. Lydia's experience and her record of it helped to redefine our country. Please join us.

If you are able, please pick up a kit, sew at your leisure and then return the top to the red tote.
