For Your Consideration

What if the most profound changes in justice ministry come not from grand gestures, but from the small, faithful acts we practice every day?

Micro Practices for Justice Ministry: Doing Little Things for the Common Good provides insights from more than 40 pastors from diverse ministry contexts on how small, intentional actions have the power to create lasting social change. Book is available here.

Family Housing Network Opportunities

FFH doesn't have enough congregations to fill every week of the year. However, Plymouth Congregational has offered their building for the week of June 8, but needs volunteers from other congregations. If you can help out for a shift it would be appreciated. Here is the link:

Mary of Magdala will again be helping to host FFH families the week of June 22. Please mark it on your calendars, and plan to volunteer if you can. More information will be coming later. Thanks!

Hope Prayer

Loving God, I call you by many names

I come before you today in need of hope, as my companion on my journey.

There are times when I feel helpless,

There are times when I feel weak.

I pray for hope;

hope for a better future,

hope for a better life,

hope for an end of the coronavirus pandemic, and especially to harmful mutations

hope for my complete healing in body, mind, emotion, spirit

hope that all my intentions/prayers come true

the things I pray to happen, actually do happen

the things I pray do not happen, do not actually happen

hope for peace on earth and an end to violence and oppression,

hope for an end to systemic, societal, racism, anti-Semitism,

and oppression of women and people who are lesbian, gay, transgender

hope for freedom and justice for every person,

hope for a transformation of myself, ourselves, our country

hope to be filled with and manifest your love and compassion

I hope for love and kindness.

Some say that the sky is at its

darkest just before the light.

I pray that this is true, for when all seems dark.

I need your light, in every way.

I pray to be filled with your light from head to toe.

Help me to walk in your light, and live

my life in hope, peace, joy, love, and light

And to always remember that hope is your love at work in my life.

In your name I pray, Amen

Rev. Don Pachuta, ECC, Community of St. Luke,

Interested in the Enneagram?

We invite anyone and everyone to join us for an Intro to Enneagram panel this Tuesday, May 20, 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Sun Room at 301 Stuart St.

Enneagram is an ancient tool used by people around the world to learn more about themselves, others, and the way they interact in the world. In this panel, we have members of our community - each who represent one of the enneagram triads - speak about their experiences through the lens of their enneagram number. This narrative method of learning is useful for getting real insight into the experiences of the enneagram.

JOY Luncheon

JOY delights in welcoming all older adults and those young at heart to join for their next luncheon on Monday, May 19 for a time to gather, connect, and be inspired. Enjoy a delicious lunch at 12 pm, followed by a thought-provoking talk at 1 pm from Professor Courtney Shultz, Director of the School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) at Colorado State University. Professor Shultz will offer a compelling look at the wide-ranging work of SoGES, including their “Managing the Planet” public panel series and the university’s broader Climate Initiative.

You’ll leave not only informed but inspired with a renewed sense of hope and practical ideas for how to take meaningful action in support of a more sustainable future. Don’t miss this engaging and uplifting event—see you there!

Lunch Buffet will be catered from Qdoba with a cost of $15. To adequately prepare, RSVPs are needed no later than WEDNESDAY, May 14 to Amanda or HERE. You can pay day of via check/cash or online HERE!

Chapter Two Book Group

Chapter Two Book Group meets monthly to discuss a book of the group’s choice. Gather in the Fireside Room at 6pm on Thursday, May 22 to discuss James by Percival Everett and to choose a future book for the group to read. Anyone is welcome to join, from 301 Faith Partners, the community, and beyond! Please contact Maddie Fairfax if you’d like to join the email list for this group or have any questions.

Little Pantry

Our food stocks are growing, thanks to Lent contributions. We have also been able to shop with your cash contributions, and make sure we have those protein items on hand that quickly get snapped up. Every item you bring is so appreciated! God bless you!

Garden Group

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:....a time to plant and a time to uproot..." Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 It is about "time to plant" in the 301 Faith Partners' garden. There is work to do to prepare for the planting; the planting; the watering; the weeding; and ultimately the harvest. Working in the garden and sharing the produce is rewarding, but it does require the efforts of several volunteers. We would love to welcome more

volunteers to share the workload. If you are interested and willing to join our Small Group Ministry you can

get more information by contacting Nyla Anderson at 970-231-1282 or nander0620@aol.com.

Monetary donations to help with the garden are always accepted, checks can be made out to Trinity Lutheran with Garden in the memo line.

Quilting Group

Join us weekly on Fridays at 10 am. NO experience needed, NO need to have been coming last year, NO worries. Hope to see the old familiar as well as new faces.

301 FP Prayer Group

301 FP Prayer Group meets the last Monday of the month (May 26) at 10:30 am in the Fireside Room to pray for the 301 Partnership. If you have questions or comments please email or call Pat Wiedower or 619-994-2641.

Trinity Readers

Members of all of the 301 Faith Partner churches are invited to join the Trinity Readers on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 in the Fireside Room for a book discussion. On June 2 we will discuss the novel Inside the O’Briens by Lisa Genova – a fictional account of a cop who is diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease, as well as his four young adult children who then wrestle with the decision about undergoing genetic testing.

Questions? Call Nadine Hunt at 970-825-3730.
