Family Housing Network Opportunities

The Liturgy Committee Requests Your Input

The Mary of Magdala Liturgy Committee was formed with both lay and clergy to ensure the parishioners can continue to engage with the Mass and deepen their faith and relationships with God.

Liturgy can take many forms. Periodically, we review our worship service (liturgy) content to ensure it remains meaningful for members, balancing tradition with evolving ecumenical beliefs. Our philosophy is to seek, enrich, and expand our understanding and practice of worship.

We are asking for feedback on the necessity, length, and the clarity of the liturgy and the engagement with the themes of our special liturgies. And this year we want to explore the possibility of hosting short discussions prior to mass on the readings, gospel and spirituality.

Interested in the Enneagram?

We invite anyone and everyone to join us for an Intro to Enneagram panel this Tuesday, May 20, 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Sun Room at 301 Stuart St.

Enneagram is an ancient tool used by people around the world to learn more about themselves, others, and the way they interact in the world. In this panel, we have members of our community - each who represent one of the enneagram triads - speak about their experiences through the lens of their enneagram number. This narrative method of learning is useful for getting real insight into the experiences of the enneagram.

Chapter Two Book Group

Chapter Two Book Group meets monthly to discuss a book of the group’s choice. Gather in the Fireside Room at 6pm on Thursday, May 22 to discuss James by Percival Everett and to choose a future book for the group to read. Our food stocks are growing, thanks to Lent contributions. We have also been able to shop with your cash contributions, and make sure we have those protein items on hand that quickly get snapped up. Every item you bring is so appreciated! God bless you!

The 301 Garden Needs Volunteers

There has never been a more appropriate time for a garden! We need locally grown food, both for ourselves and for the greater community, and the 301 Faith Partners supply some of this need through our garden.

But we need volunteers! People who want to get their hands dirty in a productive and life-giving way, people who like to steward growing things, and people who value community are asked to please volunteer to help out with this worthwhile project of bringing healthy food to our little place in the world.

Trinity Readers

Members of all of the 301 Faith Partner churches are invited to join the Trinity Readers on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 in the Fireside Room for a book discussion. On June 2 we will discuss the novel Inside the O’Briens by Lisa Genova – a fictional account of a cop who is diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease, as well as his four young adult children who then wrestle with the decision about undergoing genetic testing.
