Planetary stations (the degree where the planet stations retrograde and direct) are among the most powerful degrees and the retrograde and direct journey of the planets is always fascinating to watch. If you look at the table above you will note that Saturn travels around 7 degrees between the retrograde and direct planetary stations over a period of 4 1/2 months, which occurs at the same length and rate each year. At the direct station, Saturn will hover around the same degree for over a month, and I will point that out below. The degrees above where it stations retrograde and direct, are sensitive and will be affected by Saturn especially if it is the degree of a planet, point, or angle in your chart. You can scroll down to the end to see what areas may be affected if you do have a planet, point, or angle within about one degree of the direct station, or between the retrograde and direct degree. Since Saturn will be in two signs, Pisces and Aries, in the tropical zodiac, but one sign, Pisces, in the sidereal zodiac, these are the areas in your chart that you need to watch and think about. More about that at the end of this section.

As we see above, Saturn retrogrades every year for about 4 1/2 months. In general, Saturn can slow things down, generate fear, and not get things accomplished that one would have wanted to get done. This has to do with events in the world, as well as in our personal lives. This does not necessarily spell out disaster but it certainly means that during this long retrograde period, we do have time to revise projects and plans, and think about a better way of doing and accomplishing things.



During this past retrograde period, you may have slowed down, been stalled or frustrated about something but could not see your way out of it or a way to move forward. The area of the chart where tropical Pisces and Aries or sidereal Pisces falls is where this may have taken place. Hopefully you were patient and understood that sometimes taking the time to reflect and turn things around is the most appropriate and productive thing to do. It is the area where you must work hard and stand the test of time, and if you do that, you could be successful since Saturn will move direct in faster motion.

That opportunity begins November 28, 2025, a day before Mercury stations direct on November 29, 2025. Much of feeling stuck, delayed and heavy should start to lighten up. If the lessons of Saturn are adhered to, the areas of life defined by that sector of the horoscope will be more focused, disciplined and able to be positive even if slow-moving in its recovery. Saturn moves slowly and that is the lesson we always need to learn. And remember that it has been at the same degree as the station since the last week in October through the entire month of December. That means that all above has already begun and thankfully the slowness allows you to make a plan to move forward through the beginning of the new year.

Once Saturn stations direct on November 28th (and for all intents and purposes it is already standing still and within orb of the station between October 26th and December 31st) you will move forward quickly, and will seem that whatever reversed its course when Saturn retrograded, will start to move ahead as it stations direct. This is especially true once we enter the new year, and we may find a resolution to what has stalled. If you have a planet, point, or angle, within a degree of the November 28th direct station, which is Tropical. 25° Pisces 09’. Sidereal. 1° Pisces 2', you will be relieved to move forward especially with a project that began the last time Saturn came to that degree, which would have been during the first two weeks of April 2025.

If you do not have anything around the direct station degree, you can still look at the house/bhava that tropical Aries and Pisces or sidereal Pisces occupies since that is where Saturn has been located through the retrograde cycle. According to the tropical zodiac, Saturn moves into Aries on May 21, 2025, retrogrades back into Pisces September 1, 2025, and moves back into Aries on February 13, 2026. According to the sidereal zodiac, Saturn moves definitively into Pisces on March 28, 2025. Because Saturn moves slowly these houses are most sensitive to changes that you wish to make in your life slowly, methodically, but most definitively. Where direct Saturn is concerned, we have to embrace the adage that less is more, at least for the time being, and use our resolve, focus, powers of concentration, discipline, and endurance to weather storms that we will face. Time to help our fellow human beings. Give to charities. Volunteer if you can. Help the elderly. Honor your elderly relatives and delve into your ancestry. This will be even more important since Thanksgiving occurs on Thursday, November 27th here in the United States, and the upcoming December holiday season occurs around the world. This means that this particular Saturn may be concerned with giving, but also conserving, which means that, for example, when you think about gift giving, focus on children and not necessarily the adults, but also do your best to be economical without being stingy or denying someone what is on their wish list. In addition to all of the above, there are many mantras and prayers that you can say for Saturn, and I always tell people to read The Greatness of Saturn by Robert Svoboda, which will present Saturn in all of its manifestations, and it will be helpful regardless of the zodiac you use. Read if you use sidereal Indian astrology. If you have a planet, point, or angle in your chart between sidereal 1° Pisces 2'-7° Pisces 49’ where Saturn retrograded, whatever that represents is the area in which Saturn demands revision and restructuring. The good news is that it will call your attention to that area, even if it is at times frustrating. The key is to be structured, disciplined, and look at things realistically. The message is to work within limitations but not to look at it negatively. Sometimes less is more and if you muster patience and are able to eliminate things you do not need, you will be able to make the most of whatever the planet represents. Remember that whatever the planet or angle represents may be slowed down, reviewed, revised, and ultimately reinvigorated and reinvented now that Saturn will move direct. If you do not know which house sidereal Pisces occupies, look at your ascendant, or Moon, or even your Sun (if you do not know your ascendant or Moon), and just count from there. Saturn will be in sidereal Pisces from March 28, 2025-June 1, 2027, and from October 21, 2027-February 22, 2028. With Mercury stationing direct, the day after Saturn stations direct, we go from five retrograde planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) to three planets, until Neptune goes direct on December 10, Uranus moving direct on February 4, and Jupiter stationing direct on March 11. (Mercury will retrograde again from February 26-March 20). For now especially since Neptune is hovering around the same degree where it will go direct, many events that seemed murky, and going nowhere, will begin to move forward or at least have resolution.

What follows below is adapted from other newsletters about Mercury, but the dates and degrees are different.

As we see above, Mercury stations direct on November 29, 2025, but it will stay in the retrograde arc or shadow until December 17, 2025, when Mercury crosses the degree where it stationed retrograde. That means that if you have a planet, point, or angle around that degree you may be especially affected by the current Mercury retrograde cycle. Otherwise as a general rule, the three weeks of the retrograde (though often bringing petty disagreements due to lack of clarity or inability to listen to others, communication and transportation delays, and other slowdowns) was the perfect time to review situations, revise projects, and even getting counseling for a situation you want to change.

This Mercury retrograde period was especially challenging and continues in that vein due to the fact that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, are retrograde, so that Mercury's murkiness and inability to make positive decisions made this Mercury retrograde the final piece of the puzzle. In this particular period, there was in the United States a government shutdown, that interfered with travel, and in the end, did not achieve the goals of the shutdown. Now that Mercury is direct this week, there might be more discussions in that direction, but since decisions may be made around the Neptune station on December 9, 2025, we will see if clarity is achieved. But at least Mercury will not be the culprit.

The same goes for your personal lives, and since we have Thanksgiving (which is celebrated in the U.S.) on Thursday November 27, followed by Station and Mercury direct on the 28th and 29th, everyone should feel a change in the energy around us, especially the fact that Mercury's direct motion causes it to speed up, and can restore better communication, clarity, and more ability for understanding and listening to others with patience and compassion. Many of the snafus that you may have felt under Mercury Retrograde will begin to clear up, but may still linger until Mercury leaves the retrograde arc (shadow) on December 17, 2025.

As I said above, the fact that Mercury will station direct is a mark of optimism. That means that even though the world will continue to be tense, and especially the markets will go up and down, sometimes, over a period of one day it will rise, and the next day it will fall, and so on. Peace treaties are negotiated, but then changed and rejected, only to go back to the drawing board, but maybe with a bit more optimism. On a personal and professional level, we can aim for clarity, better communication, and sound business judgment. Use these next few weeks to increase communication, and to try to resolve differences with people close to you personally and professionally. Some of those differences may require honesty, and each party agreeing to disagree and not to blame but to just move on and think about the positive connectivity that you share. Other differences you may have may be trivial and in retrospect seem very silly.

It's important in that if you have a planet, point, or angle in between Tropical. 12° Scorpio 44’-6° Sagittarius 51’ or Sidereal. 26° Libra 35’-20° Scorpio 42’ where

Mercury retrograded, you may have felt this particular Mercury retrograde more than usual. Because retrograde and direct stations are points of power and intensity, often powerful events occur around the station both in the world or your personal life, and even if that Mercury did not hit a significant planet, point, or angle in your chart, it will still travel through a particular house. (In this case it is where tropical Scorpio-Sagittarius and sidereal Libra-Scorpio lie.) At least there is more opportunity for negotiating on a direct Mercury, though I would suspect that things will begin in a new direction and will really take shape after December 17, 2025, when it leaves the retrograde arc. You can also look at this to measure things in your own life that you would like to be started, resolved, or even ended so that you can move forward. The good news is that we won't have to deal with that pesky Mercury retrograde again until February 26-March 20, 2026.

Once we get past November 29, 2025, when Mercury goes direct, get used to moving ahead with plans that may have been put on hold, or that may have slowed down. You can start making those plans once Mercury is direct, but once Mercury leaves the retrograde arc on December 17, they will begin to manifest. Since retrogrades are a period of reflection and revision, and since the planets slow up, think about what you realized or worked on over the last month or two and get to work on now realizing those goals and plans. This area of your life might have become unpredictable, may have slowed down, or taken an unexpected turn but now they will straighten out and move forward. Scroll down for whichever zodiac you use.  

Read if you use sidereal Indian astrology. If you have a planet, point, or angle in your chart between Sidereal. 26° Libra 35’-20° Scorpio 42’ where Mercury retrogrades, it will hit those degrees three times when Mercury is direct, retrograde, and direct between the retrograde arc period of October 21-December 17, 2025. If you have something on one of the stationary degrees, it will be there twice with the station being very potent but just for a day or two, since Mercury moves so quickly. Whatever the planet, point, or angle represents, or whichever house the planet rules, may have slowed down, been reviewed, and revised, but ultimately reinvigorated and reinvented slowly after November 29, 2025, when it goes direct and at a faster pace after December 17, 2025, when it leaves the retrograde arc. General descriptions of the grahas (planets) are as follows:

This year should be a very intense year, both continuing many of the ingresses and aspects that began in 2025, retrograded, and will now go direct for a final time. November Lunations: Full Moon and New Moon (Times listed in GMT)

November 5, 2025. Full Moon. 13:19

If you have any planets, points, or angles around those degrees (I would take a one-two degree orb) then whatever is represented by that planet, point, or angle, will be prominent and important until the next lunation, meaning that if something in your chart is conjunct this month's Full Moon on November 5, 2025, it may be prominent until next month's Full Moon on December 4, 2025. If something in your chart is conjunct the degree of this month's New Moon on November 20, 2025, it may be prominent until next month's New Moon on December 20, 2025.

The New Moon represents beginnings and can help you to institute a change you have been thinking about while the Full Moon is an accomplishment or culmination and gives the push to continue on that path. If you have planets, points, or angles conjunct this month's lunations, you will feel a need to take action with either something new (New Moon) or the manifestation of something you have been working on (Full Moon). Of course, the houses that these lunations fall in, will highlight those areas of life as well.

If your birthday is between November 4-6, then the Full Moon is in your solar return (varṣaphala), the annual birthday chart, or close enough that it will be important for the year ahead until your next birthday, meaning that it may be a year when things you have been working on will manifest, or feel like they are moving in the right direction, so continue with whatever is fulfilling you. Set your intentions high and gather your confidence since this is the year when things will take place. The Full Moon on your birthday is important since the year ahead will be even more significant than usual. make sure that you are prepared to make those changes that come with manifesting your hopes, otherwise they can pass you by.

If your birthday is between November 19-21, then the New Moon is in your solar return (varṣaphala), the annual birthday chart, or close enough that it will be important for the year ahead until your next birthday, meaning a change is bound to happen, so work on that change. It could be a physical move, job change, relationship change, or simply working on yourself to integrate new patterns and habits into your life. Expect a great deal of transformative experiences that will make you want to change or take a step in a different direction. Take your time but do head in that direction, since otherwise it will happen to you whether you initiate it or not.

The November lunations also occurred on the same dates and degrees in 1987 and 2006 so think about anything important that might have occurred in that birthday year. . Compatibility reading for an hour. $250. (60 minutes with opportunity for questions after). This is NOT an individual reading but a look at the relationship and timing for the relationship. 

. Choosing an Auspicious Date for an event. $250.

. Astro*Carto*Graphy or locality readings or "Where in the World?" (60 minutes with opportunity for questions after). Finding the right location and best timing for work, love, finances, health, etc. You must provide places that you are interested in. $250 TO $225

. Combination of initial reading and Astro*Carto*Graphy reading.  (120 minutes with opportunity for questions after). $400 to $360.

. Answering one specific question or examining one topic or area. $215. (60 minutes with opportunity for questions after). This is NOT a horary chart but an examination of only one specific area or question. Only for people who have had an initial reading. 

. One hour Tutoring sessions in Indian Astrology or Astro*Carto*Graphy. $125 for one session. $300 for 3 sessions.

. You can also book an emergency reading if you have had a reading with me before for $600 and will be booked within 5 business days.
