WHAT'S NEXT?
SCUBA is an amazing sport for the opportunities to continually grow and explore new aspects of diving. Through continued education courses, you can become increasingly independent and safe in the water, while also branching out to explore new adventures. Not only does improving your skills keep diving more enjoyable! But with so many specialties and courses available, it can be overwhelming to understand which next adventure is right for you. At One World, we think it’s important to keep your goals in mind when choosing which class is right for you. So here are a few things to think about when choosing a class.

Are you a recreational diver?
Do you like to go on a dive trip or two every year? Are you into diving for fun with your family and friends? Is travel your main goal in diving?
If so, we recommend the Open Water Level II course. This unique class is only available at One World Dive and Travel, and teaches you the basic skills you need to be a safe and independent diver. You’ll explore skills necessary for deep dives and learn basic underwater skills to keep you oriented . . . . read more .

TOP REASONS TO ATTEND POOL NIGHT

3) Pool Night is FUN!
Jumping in the pool with other certified divers is a great way to hang out with your friends and family. Throw around the torpedoes, compete to swim through the hula hoop, and the whole time practice your buoyancy control.

2) Pool Night is CONVENIENT!
Our pool is available to rent during the day, but if you can't get away from work until after 5:00, Pool Night is the best time to come in after hours for some practice.

1) Pool Night makes you SAFER!
Whether you have 10 dives logged or 10,000, all divers should jump in the water to refresh their skills. Taking some time to set up your gear, blow bubbles, and keep things fresh will make you a better and more confident diver.

This is a self guided review (there won't be an instructor on duty) but gives you a chance to set up your gear, blow bubbles, and keep things fresh between trips. $25 covers your pool time, one rental tank and any scuba equipment you may need.
The pool will be available from 6 - 9pm on the following nights:

  • February 21
  • March 15
  • April 30
  • May 15
  • June 18

SCUBA REFRESHER ~ If it's been longer than 2 years since your last dive, then you'll need a SCUBA REFRESHER . In this four hour class, instructors will share practical tips from their personal experience of diving and jump in the water with you to make sure you are comfortable setting up your gear, controlling your buoyancy and review your emergency skills. The class is offered three times each month, and is often required by a resort if you haven't been diving in a year. If you have been out of the water for longer than 10 years, you will need to schedule a private course.

Call the shop at 303-220-8282 for more information or click here for information on our upcoming SCUBA Refresher courses.
Tip of the Month
Delayed flight times are a tricky thing in the airline business. Whether due to late aircraft, delayed crew or some mechanical issue, it's not uncommon to see a delayed sign next to your flight time, with the estimated new departure time. But airlines can, and will, make changes to their estimates. Be it a new crew called in from reserve or a new plane pulled from another route, the airline can modify their times at will. It's common to assume the time on the board is the actual departure time, but we've seen flights leave without passengers when a delayed flight status changes back to an original flight time. Stay close to the gate, or constantly be checking the airline app to stay abreast of potential changes, and disasters, in your travel plans.
