Why is RSC holding a lockbox exchange?


The majority of the existing lockboxes in our market have been in service for nearly 8 years and are now out of warranty. This means that if there are any issues with those lockboxes you are responsible for any fees incurred to remove the lockbox from a property, replace batteries, or replace the lockbox itself. The Bluetooth™ model lockbox has been discontinued by SentriLock and replaced with the new SentriGuard product which contains advanced technology and a full 10-year warranty.

Why is this exchange 2 for 1?


The new SentriGuard lockboxes contain modern technology, extended life, and a longer warranty. Due to the increase in cost and reliability, the RSC Board of Directors has elected to replace your old equipment at a 2 for 1 rate.

If it is a 2 for 1 exchange, what if I have an odd number of lockboxes?

If you have an odd number of lockboxes (EX: 7 lockboxes), RSC will exchange the even number of lockboxes at the 2 for 1 rate. The remaining lockbox can be turned in for a discounted rate on the purchase of one new lockbox. Instead of $148.23, you may purchase a new lockbox for $103.23 (a $45 savings).

This offer will only be available during the exchange period of 8/21/23-9/21/23.

What do I need to do to get ready for the exchange?



It’s important to be prepared so that your experience at the lockbox exchange event can be as seamless and quick as possible. Start taking inventory now of all your lockboxes and make sure that the lockboxes you have are listed in your name as the Lockbox Owner. Only lockboxes for which you are the Lockbox Owner can be transferred.

How do I view my current lockbox inventory?



You can view your current inventory and warranty periods within the SentriLock website. From the new PPAR.com Dashboard, in the RSC Services module, click the SentriLock tile. Then select the My Lockboxes tab within the SentriKey Real Estate website.

What if I have a lockbox that is not in my name?


Be sure to verify that all of the lockboxes you have are showing your name as the lockbox owner. If the lockbox is not in your name, it cannot be exchanged. If you have purchased the lockbox from another RSC subscriber or if a lockbox has been given to you, it must be transferred to your name. If the Lockbox Owner is still an active SentriLock subscriber, they can follow the Lockbox Transfer Instructions to transfer the lockbox within the SentriLock system. Once they have completed this process, you will need to open the lockbox to complete the transfer.

If the Lockbox Owner is no longer an active SentriLock subscriber, they can fill out the Lockbox Transfer Form and provide that to you to complete and bring with you to the exchange.

What if I'm out of town during the time of the exchange?


There will be make-up sessions available after the initial mass exchange. Keep an eye out for more communications after the initial sessions have occurred.

What if I don’t exchange my current lockboxes?


This lockbox exchange is a one-time event that RSC is offering from 8/21/23-9/21/23. If you choose not to exchange your lockboxes now, there will not be a future opportunity after the exchange period to do so. If you choose to keep your old lockboxes, they will continue to work with the SentriKey app but will no longer be supported by RSC. Many of these lockboxes are out of warranty already, but even if there is warranty left on the lockbox, you will need to work with SentriLock directly for any warranty services. Exchanging your lockboxes now will ensure that you have local support and 10 years of warranty services should any problems arise in the future.

Can I bring someone else’s lockboxes to exchange for them?

If you are bringing someone else’s lockboxes to exchange for them, the lockbox owner will need to complete the Lockbox Exchange Consent Form and you will need to bring it with you to the exchange event.

Can I purchase additional lockboxes at the exchange event?


Yes! Lockboxes will be available for you to purchase. The sale price of the new lockbox is $148.23 after tax.
