Happy Friday!

Children's author Scott Rothman is swinging by Barrett this weekend on Sunday to autograph some books! He will be signing copies of his newest, Horizontal Crocodile, as well as some of his beloved titles, like Attack of the Underwear Dragon, Judgy Bunny, and Kittybunkport. If you're around Sunday afternoon, you just might spot him!

A week out from Halloween, there are already hints of Thanksgiving and Christmas all around the store. Our favorite kickoff to the holiday season is our very popular Publisher's Rep Night, where patrons hear directly from publishing industry insiders about the best books of the season. Please join us on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm and stay tuned for their selection of titles! This event fills up quickly each year and RSVPs will open on October 28th at 9:30 am.

We're also putting a selection of books from our Cooking and Home sections on sale from November 1st through November 7th. Get a frugal head start on holiday gifting with 30% off books marked with a red dot. While you're here, take a look at Sally's wonderful collection of holiday cards, truly the best ones around.

Hope to see you at some of our upcoming events!
