BRYNNE'S TIPS & TRICKS

Tip #1:

Don't be Afraid to ask for help! This pattern is not very beginner friendly. If it weren't for the help from the rest of the Sew Special Staff I would still have all the pieces of the bag in well pieces.

Tip #2:

I highly recommend fully making at least 1 of the leaf squares to get an idea of how the pieces connect. It really helps especially with the directional fabric to make sure it all looks exactly how you want it to.

Tip #3:

You can really customize this bag with how the leaves sit in the side panels. Not only can you have the leaves facing any direction you would like, you can adjust how they sit in the rows as long as it still makes a panel measuring 7.5" x 11.5". On one side of my bag I have the leaves descending. 

Bonus Tip:

Be kind to yourself! I had far more fun with this pouch when I wasn't so hard on myself for making a mistake.

SHARLENE'S TIPS & TRICKS

Tip #1:

Use a scant 1/4" seam.

Tip #2:

Use colors for leaves that pop against the background fabric.

Tip #3:

I would add D rings & make a strap for a cross body bag.
