Tax Incentives and Rebates Available for Efficiency Upgrades
If you are considering making upgrades to your home appliances, now is a great time to do it.

As part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, federal tax credits for energy efficient home upgrades have been increased and extended.

If you heat your home with electricity, we have rebates available for you as well.
Request a Free Home Energy Evaluation
Did you know we offer free home energy evaluations to customers who heat their home with electricity?

These evaluations can help you find ways to cut energy waste, which can help keep your bills down.

If you are interested in identifying ways to save on your bill, please request a home energy evaluation.
Please Plant Trees Away from Power Lines
We work hard to provide you with reliable, affordable electric service.

Trees that are growing too close to power lines can cause interruptions in service. They may even put people in danger.

You can help keep electric service safe and reliable. When planting trees, please keep them at least 30 feet away from overhead power lines.

Here are some other suggestions for planting trees and plants safely.
Slow Down, Move Over for Our Line Crews
When you see our crews working alongside the road, please slow down or move over.

Typically, caution signs, flaggers, and cones will alert you that we have a crew ahead. When you see any of these indicators, please slow down or move over a lane if that is a safe option.

Thank you for helping keep our crews safe.
Please Don't Post Signs on Utility Poles
Please do not hang anything on utility poles.

We know it can be tempting to hang garage sale signs on utility poles, but there are good reasons why you shouldn't.

Staples, nails, and tacks damage our poles. They shorten the useful lives of our poles, which increases maintenance costs.

They also create dangerous obstacles for our linemen.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, reliable electrical distribution system and a safe environment for our linemen.
Stay Safe from Scam Attempts
Please be wary of criminals posing as Columbia River PUD employees.

Scammers may call or text you threatening to shut off your power if you don't pay immediately. This is not something we do.

If you receive a suspicious call or text message, please report it to your local police and to us by calling (503) 397-1844.
