Dear Alumni,

We are pleased to ask you to save the date for the 45th Anniversary of the University of Akron School of Communication, focusing on the past, present, and future of our school.

The event will be held Saturday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 60th  Anniversary virtual reunion for WZIP to follow at 4 p.m.

The virtual event will feature an alumni panel, workshops on trends and new concepts in professional communication and a chance to connect and network with your classmates across the decades. We are also celebrating the 60th anniversary of WZIP 88.1 FM and will include a special reunion space for our alumni members.

As we continue to prepare for the event, we would like to hear your thoughts on what you would enjoy.

We would also like to ask you to share your memories from your time on campus. Please send us any or all of the following:

1. A short video of yourself talking about your time on campus (see attached questions) shot in landscape mode on your smart phone.
2. Photos from your time in the School of Communication including PRSSA, WZIP, ZTV, The Buchtelite, and more with brief descriptions.
3. A written response to the attached questions.

These items can be uploaded via the above survey, or you can e-mail these items and any questions to julieca@uakron.edu. Please send your materials before Friday, October 14 for inclusion in the programming.

If you haven’t been able to visit The School of Communication lately, our video welcome will give you a chance to get reacquainted.
