Kim Barton-Bridges - Director of Operations

Kim and her husband moved to Powell River from Vancouver with their three daughters in 1998. While they are now officially empty-nesters, they are enjoying grandparenthood and remain at the beck and call of their three furry kids. Kim also works with the PR Film Festival. Her volunteer pursuits include positions with the PR Hospice Society and the BC Ferries Advisory Committee for our region. She loves the quiet, coastal lifestyle and the various arts
and cultural events for which this community has earned a solid reputation.

How long have you worked with PRISMA?
What brought you to Powell River?
- My husband, Bart, accepted a job with then MacMillan Bloedel Powell River Mill, so we moved the family from Vancouver in 1998. It started as a short-term plan, and here we are. We've never looked back!
What is it about PRISMA that inspires you?
- It is an inspiration that a small, seaside community can produce a music festival of this calibre. The tremendous effort of the board, staff, volunteers, members, sponsors, community partners, local governments, etc., to make PRISMA happen is an extraordinary gift.
What's your idea of the perfect day?
- Waking up without having to set an alarm to sunshine; lingering over coffee and walking through the forest with dogs. After that, anything is possible.
And.... a final question: coffee, tea or chocolate?
- Coffee. Definitely coffee.
