Animas High School
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Wednesday, October 13
2:30-3:30pm

AHS has been breaking new ground in education since 2009. Now with plans to move into our new state-of-the-art building in the 2022/23 school year, we're thrilled to celebrate our literal groundbreaking with you!

Award-winning AHS Founding Teacher Lori Fisher shares, “After twelve years of building AHS into the unique school that it is today, moving to the Fort will open new doors for all our students and teachers through partnerships with professors, increased access to college-level resources and the excitement and vitality of being on a college campus--this move will help our Ospreys soar to new heights!”

“The AHS and FLC partnership is suited to best serve our community and will enhance the programmatic engagement between the College and local public schools,” says FLC President Tom Stritikus. “By bringing an outstanding educational partner to campus, we’re increasing our opportunity for learning and deepening collaborations between local educational entities. At FLC we’ve long admired the work of AHS and we know they will increase the vibrancy of our campus.”

We hope you can join us!
