New Logo, New Era
 

With this newsletter, the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation proudly introduces our new logo, shown above. Many thanks to the foundation's Marketing Committee for the passion and diligent effort poured into the creation of this new symbol: Anne Howard, Chair, Kendall Pata, Graphic Designer, Martha Townsend, Emily Engel and Ellen Pasternack, Foundation Director.  
 
The logo pays homage to the graceful arches found in the Central Library's windows and original entrance doorway, while also symbolizing the goals of the foundation: to keep the Santa Barbara Public Libraries open, accessible and free to all! Expect to see this new brand on all of our communications as the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation moves beyond our successful, first campaign, the New Children's Library, with our centennial celebration (more below) and Next Steps Projects!

We're Celebrating 100 Years!
 
Join the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation as we honor the Central Library's century of service to our community with "Cocktails & Culture: A Centennial Celebration" on Saturday, November 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. Stroll through the stacks dressed in your favorite cocktail finery from the past 100 years and enjoy literary cocktails, ample hors d'oeuvres, celebratory dessert, entertainment and stories about the library past, present and future.   
 
All proceeds will benefit the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation and our mission to support the Central Library and the Next Steps Projects.  
 
Individual tickets are $100 and will go on sale later this month (we'll send you an email with the link once it's live).

Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500 and include tickets and an advertisement in the centennial program book.
