Early Bird re-registration is quickly approaching! Now is the time to get ready... do you have your MyGS password? Have you chatted with your parents and know which girls are returning next year? Are you ready to earn some great rewards AND the chance to win fabulous prizes?

Who can participate in Early Bird Re-Registration?
Everyone registered by MARCH 31st is eligible to participate in Early Bird re-registration which runs from April 1st through April 30th, 2018. The annual registration fee for the 2018 - 2019 membership year, October 1 - September 30, is $40 for girls and $25 for adults.

What are the Early Bird Guidelines?
  • All individually registered girls and troops must submit their online re-registration with payment by 11:59 PM on April 30th to be considered an Early Bird.
  • Troops must re-register 80% of their currently registered girls AND two Leaders to be eligible for the 2018-2019 Early Bird troop incentives and prize drawings.
  • Can't remember your MyGS login? That's ok...just email customercare@gssef.org and a member support specialist will follow up with you!

Troop Incentives
All participating Troops who re-register 80% of eligible girls and two Leaders within the Early Bird period (April 1st to April 30th at 11:59 p.m.) will earn:
  • $.03 additional proceeds on each box of cookies sold in the 2019 sale.
  • All girls who are re-registered during Early Bird will receive the exclusive Early Bird patch!
  • Everyone (girls and adults) who registers for Early Bird will receive complimentary admission to GSSEF's G.I.R.L.s of Summer event at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on Saturday, June 9th.

These are just some of the great incentives we're offering this year. We'll be revealing even more details as Early Bird gets closer about the weekly prize drawings, the patch contest and a chance to win the G.I.R.L. Grand Prize,
an exclusive Preview Party where your girls can experience our newest addition to Camp Welaka... our Welaka Wibit!

If you have any questions, or need to reset your MyGS login, update a background check or just need some guidance, now is the time to take care of those details so you're ready to re-register on April 1st.

Email customercare@gssef.org and a Member Support Specialist will get back to you.

tricks
Have you heard about....THE NEW "VTK: Tips, Tricks &  Sips?"
GSSEF has a big, bright, beautiful new Palm Beach Retail Store in Jupiter. We're making it even better by adding the NEW "VTK: Tips, Tricks & Sips" session for our adult volunteers!

Volunteers are the busiest people we know! Maybe you've meant to try the Volunteer Toolkit (a.k.a. VTK) but with everything else you need to do - it hasn't been a priority. These casual get-togethers are designed for volunteers and Leaders to network with peers and get into the VTK alongside a volunteer super-user! Bring your own tablet or laptop... or simply use one of ou rs. We can show you what's inside the "MyGS" community and all the tabs inside the VTK. Check out how the pre-populated Year Plans align perfectly to the National Badges and Journeys. And more new stuff just added last month!

Saturday afternoon sessions will include a variety of iced tea, sodas with chips, dips and veggies. Evening sessions will include a red and white wine with cheese and fruit - and non-alcoholic beverage options too. All participants will receive a return-and-shop coupon for 15% off your entire future purchase. All sessions are reserved for adult volunteers only; children are not permitted. No Tag-alongs permitted.

Find these and all our Adult Learning Options at
www.gssef.org. Click on "Activities" and then "Event Calendar." Cost is $3.00 per adult.

The Adult Recognition Award nominations are designed to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments that go above and beyond what is expected of our volunteers. Help us thank and recognize those adults who make a difference in the lives of girls. Nominate someone by clicking here. Guidelines and the online nomination form link can be found on the Adult Recognition page. For questions or assistance with the nomination form, please contact our Adult Recognition Committee via email at adultrecognition@gssef.org.

Congratulations on a Turtle-y Awesome Cookie Sale
Thanks to our awesome Girl Scouts, their supportive parents and our awesome volunteers,Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is on track to have another successful Cookie Sale. reward
Girl Rewards
When will girls get their rewards? In about 6-8 weeks. How are rewards distributed? Rewards go to the Service Unit teams and from there to your daughter's troop leaders. Sometimes a leader may hold on to them until the troop's end of the year ceremony to make a special presentation to celebrate all the girls' hard work. Extreme Team girl rewards are distributed directly to the girl, and when possible, MAILED to the address we have in the system. Make sure your address is up-to-date! You can make those changes directly on your MYGS.

If you need assistance in making any changes to your address or email, please email
customercare@gssef.org for assistance or ggaita@gssef.org to make sure we have your new mailing address and email for reward distribution.

troop 14217

Taking the lead like a Girl Scout, Troop 14217 chose Showering Love, a non-profit organization that provides mobile showers for the homeless, as the organization they were going to support with their cookie proceeds.

During their World Thinking Day meeting, these Go-getters met with Jeanne Albaugh, who is the head of Showering Love. The G.I.R.L.s packed "Love Bags" that are passed out to individuals who utilize the showers so they can maintain cleanliness with soap and shampoo.

They were each provided with a kindness coin as a thank you for supporting Showering Love.

troop 20876

Since Troop 20876 bi-weekly meeting was the week of World Thinking Day, they decided to celebrate this special day then. These Go-getters learned all about Thinking Day, while enjoying an international buffet dinner. They made Trefoil pins and played international games from United Kingdom and Mexico.
