FHI 360 invites you to join us on October 13, 2020 at 11:00-12:15pm EDT for a virtual event Creating Opportunity from Chaos: Reimagining Education, Equality, and Community through Leadership. This event is being held in recognition of the October 11 International Day of the Girl, as declared by the United Nations. The event will explore the topics of:

  • Reimagining learning in times of COVID
  • Reimagining gender-responsive youth development
  • Taking risks; learning to fail and rebound
  • What can the development community learn from youth resilience?

As every organization strives to determine the best path forward for maintaining and supporting girls' education, life skills and livelihoods, we are excited to offer you the opportunity to join several young women and men who are taking action and creating community change, catalyzed by the pandemic. They come from Tunisia, Zambia, Kenya and Senegal and they will show case their leadership, innovations, and actions for creating change. Together we will learn from these young leaders what it takes to respond to a crisis, what creative solutions they have devised and how they are addressing issues of equity. The panel will point to a way forward by looking at what role each of us can play to make education, equality, and leadership a reality they can thrive in.
