Class of 2024 Students & Parents/Guardians,
Now that the 2023–2024 school year is fully underway, we wanted to share the important dates/plans for events that celebrate the Class of 2024.
Senior Honors Night: Tuesday, May 21, 2024
7:00pm at Reber Auditorium, North Campus
*Attendance by invitation
Last Day for Classes for Seniors: Thursday, May 23, 2024
*Seniors are exempt from second semester final exams
Prom: Friday, May 24, 2024
Field Museum 8:00pm – 11:00pm
Post Prom Cruise (Navy Pier) 12:30am – 2:30am
*Please note that we will be communicating a payment plan option for students/families that wish to start the process of paying for prom in advance of ticket sales opening in April 2024. More details will be shared within the next few weeks.
Graduation:
Commencement: Wednesday, May 29, 2024
7:00pm at Bennett Field
Rehearsal (mandatory to participate): Tuesday, May 28
2:00pm at South Campus Fieldhouse
Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback that we received following the Class of 2023 Commencement Ceremony, we will be continuing the new tradition of hosting Commencement on Bennett Field.
In the event of rain/inclement weather on May 29, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 30 on Bennett Field. In the event of rain/inclement weather on May 29 and May 30, LTHS will hold the ceremony on Friday, May 31 on Bennett Field.
Please note, that in the event of inclement weather throughout the course of the week, LTHS may determine it necessary to move Commencement into the North Campus Fieldhouse. This will occur if we determine that the weather forecast does not allow for an outdoor graduation.
Cap and Gown Ordering Information:
All seniors attended presentations by Herff Jones about cap & gown orders as well as graduation announcement packets, etc. on Monday, October 2 during their Lunch Study Hall classes. During the October 2 meeting, students placed their order for cap/gown. For those not in attendance at the October 2 meeting, they should use this LINK to place their order. Parents/Guardians will receive an email with instructions on paying for cap/gown.
