Hello Manna,

As summer draws to a close and the harvest season is in full force, I hope this letter finds you well. I’m excited to share with you the latest annual report from the Farm to Food Bank Program. F2FB is an initiative increasing access to local, fresh, nutritious food for County residents who are challenged by hunger. The program also serves to build the capacity of our local producers committed to sustainability and strengthen our food system.

In FY23, its fourth year, F2FB purchased over 114,000 pounds of fresh, local produce and invested $125,000 in capacity-building grants. This not only supports our local agricultural community but also ensures that we can provide the best possible food to those in need. I encourage you to take a moment to explore the full report for more details.

Programs like F2FB are possible because of community partnerships and support.  I want to extend my gratitude to our amazing community as Manna continues to experience high levels of participation right now. Read below about how too many neighbors are standing at the edge of a “hunger cliff” Your support, whether through volunteering, donations, or organizing food drives, is absolutely critical in these trying times. Thank you for standing with us as we work to ensure that no one in Montgomery County goes hungry.
