Andrew Jacobs is our new Development Coordinator!

Andrew is helping to build out the development department by improving our use of Salesforce for fundraising, coordinating appeals and campaigns, assisting with events, conducting donor outreach and contributing to the overall development strategy. He comes to us with more than three years of fundraising and marketing experience, most recently as the Development Coordinator at GiGi’s Playhouse, an organization that works with people with Down syndrome.

Here’s a quick Q&A to get to know him.
What led you to legal aid?

My development experience paired with my interest in the legal aid world led me to this job and organization. Learning about the local impact of CARPLS sealed the deal.

Why did you decide to work at CARPLS?

I was looking for a role that allowed for more professional growth and worked on community issues.
You may have heard that CARPLS surpassed one million consultations provided!

CARPLS, at its core, is a simple service: people can call us and get advice about their legal problem and can move forward in their lives. In the background, however, is a sophisticated network of talented attorneys and legal and social service partners working together to help people in need.

Asghar, who lives on Chicago's South Side, was CARPLS’ one-millionth consultation!
