President's Message: Participate

Have you ever signed up for an online program or joined an organization and within a few weeks or months forgot all about it? With our busy lives and many responsibilities, that is easy to do, and dare I say, most of us have fallen into that trap.

My goal is to remind our members why their membership in the Chamber is so important. The Mission of the Payson & Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce is to support business growth in our community by providing resources, connections, and education to improve business success. We hired a new Executive Director in December, Jim Rowland. He is motivated and ready to help you find resources and opportunities to grow your business. Contact Jim to answer any questions about the Chamber.

I don’t want you to forget about the benefits of belonging to our organization. Your membership offers opportunities to market your business, meet new people, draw upon outside resources, and connect with the community. The only way for this to happen though is for you to PARTICIPATE! Get involved

where you can, and attend functions sponsored by the Chamber.

We hold monthly networking meetings and provide sponsorship opportunities to help you introduce and brand your company. We offer an ambassador program that open doors to personally meet other business owners and build new relationships. We have open Board of Director positions that need enthusiastic representation to guide the Chamber and serve our business community.

I invite you to reach out to Jim, myself, or any Board member to help you get involved!

The economy is always in flux. One minute, things are going so well that it’s hard to keep up. Next, it seems everyone is just trying to stay afloat. But what about those companies that seem to stay the course and weather any storm… are they really doing things differently, and can you do what they do as well? The answer to both those questions is YES! If you know the right things to do, of course. And the really good news? You can actually afford to do those things as well. In fact, you really can’t afford not to do them.

This insightful and engaging session pulls from my 20+ years growing into an effective business leader myself, as well as many experiences developing great companies throughout the world. These effective business strategies are vital to every business in every market. Not only for short-term success but to grow your business over the long haul.

“I just love not only the information Barry brings every time we use him but the way he delivers it is just amazing. His combination of real-world experiences, easy-to-understand concepts, and just the right amount of humor make every speech a power-packed event! I’ve used him for years and will continue to do so as often as possible.”  Ron Tracy – Director, Learning and Development, Childhelp

Submit a Short Video of Your Business

Video can help your business reach new audiences and attract new viewers to your social media pages and website, which is likely why "increase brand awareness" is the number one reason brands use video.

Video content is unique in that not only does it tell your brand’s story, but it shows it. Creating fun, lively video content will better show the personality of your brand, and is likely to be viewed, liked and shared.

To help promote your businesses we are looking to put your self-created videos on our Face Book page. Create a 30 - 60 second commercial or tour of your business and let us help tell your story! Send to [email protected]
