Small Works Show
The members of AOY Art Center are busy creating inspiration for the Small Works Art Show and Sale opening on Friday December 7 at 6:00 PM. Each artist takes a blank 8x8” or 8x10" canvas and enters it in the Show with their own personal artistic flair! There are over 100 works of original art in a variety of formats: oils, acrylics, mixed media, watercolor -- by over 50 AOY member artists!

“The Small Works Show is the only show we run where you can purchase the art and take it with you for holiday giving,” said Alison Smith, President. “But,” she added, “that also means that you’ll want to come to the Opening Reception so that you have the largest selection to choose from.”

AOY Art Center Opening Receptions are always free and open to persons interested in art and artisans. The Small Works Show and Sale runs from December 7-December 21. Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00-5:00 PM.

What's the "Genius Belt"?
Between 1930 and 1950, many renowned artists, playwrights, craftsmen, authors and thinkers seeking affordable real estate, proximity to New York City and the lure of country living moved to Bucks County. The area became such a well-known haven for creativity that the New York media began to call it "the genius belt."
